We should be more focussed on the song than whether or not it is religious or if Flyleaf is Christian or not. A lot of people are arguing about that instead saying how they feel about the song. I, for one, think this song is beautiful, no matter if it is about God or a lover. Please don't fight about it. Just say if you like the song or not okay? This arguing solves nothing :/

what kylaniann said about shoving beliefs down peoples throats is true.its counter productive.in my case i was anti GOD for most of my life.i had many people try to force it on me,including my parents.which is what turned me against it in the first place.

you shouldnt let fear and peer pressure dictate your beliefs,because if it is forced its not genuine.i cant count how many times i was told i was basically going to hell,because of assumtions based on the way i chose to look.i was called a common prostitute IN A PRAYER by a worker at life choices(a non profit prolife clinic)because i was pregnant out of wedlock.

so needless to say i wasnt fond of the christian thing....but now i have come to accept it on my own.it just something that has to come to you in your own time...although occasionally when i visit a new church,i still get THAT look..but now i just shrug it off

The band isn't religious hehe.... I am Christian myself and I have noticed many religious people standing out and trying to prove that it is religious. I'm sorry to say that they aren't. I can see this is starting to become a mini-battle versus Religious or Not. Well, the bans has stated in various interviews that they are Christian, and have follow Christian beliefs, but there band wasn't created for that purpose. Their beliefs are the base and influence of their songs, but not the sole purpose of the band. Mainly the lyrics can be interpreted into religious ways, but each and every single person is different, therefore many people could interpret it to be merely cruel love. I hope you took the time to read this, and I especially hope all of you (mostly those who believe this is a Christian band) to maybe stop being stubborn and narrow-minded to see that others possibilities could be as utterly right as your own.

they are just a rock band. Lacy said in a interveiw that, yes, they are chritians. but, no they are not a christian band. in every description i have read, they said that their beleifs INFLUENCE their music but they are not strictly a christian band. by the way, who cares if their christian or not? its a cool band with good music and i suggest we all just shut up and listen to the music.

Say what u want about Reznor's voice, there was so much more heart and feeling when he sang it. What u call monotone I call pain. U can feel the pain in Reznor as he sings it. There is none of that when flyleaf sings it. Yeah she may change her pitch from time to time and scream a lyric or two but her emotion that she portrays is ameraturish at best. She doesn't feel it like he does (mainly because it isn't her words). Shes better off making her own song with her own lyrics she can relate personally to.

ok i am a Christian and Flyleaf is a Christian band. you ppl who say they aren't are wrong. Lacey wasn't a Christian before she started the band but she is now.

when she says "Here you are down on your knees again, trying to find air to breathe again, right where I want you to be again, I love you please see and believe again!" what she is saying is that when you mess up in your life and realize that you need God, you will come to your knees searching for Him and He will help you start over again. the chous is what God is saying. when you fall to your knees and ask for His forgivness, He is so happy that you realized that you needed Him!

God loves you and what this song is saying is that you need God and nothing else will fill thr void inside of you.

what that is saying is that ppl may not always understand you but God knows who you are. He is asking for you to listen and know that he knows your heart. be calm and love God.
