emerged in the mid-nineties as songwriters in demand.
They're behind some of the new millennium's biggest hits,
too. The pair has written tracks for Michael Jackson, Jill
Scott, Glenn Lewis and Bilal. While they're highly
respected behind the scenes, Floetry is their way of moving
up front. Ambrosius is the songstress to Stewart's

You have the meaning all twisted, its not the song.
The Mother could also mean the Virgin Mary, the mother of Jesus. Depending on beliefs, Mother Earth. And to imply that the beautiful nurturing and loving presence of a mother is the opposite of God seems a bit misguided.
Loving with your soul exposed does not lead to demonic possession, if there is love there can be no evil. To me you are just open to all the wonder that the higher power or other people could give you.
And the song is certainly not implying incest, just that we all come from one and we are a universal family. Whether you believe in evolution or adam and eve its the same.
Sorry for the rant, I never do this I just felt what you were saying was a bit confused, especially bc this song really has nothing to do with the things you brought up.

I used to love this song before i got saved. Basicaly this song is twisted. They dont say message from her mother but "The Mother". Now thats not God coz He's refered to as The Father. So this mother is the opposite of God the Creator. Loving with your soul exposed is letting powers from below enter in (demon possession). I wouldnt advise anybody to listen to this song at all! The song suggests incest (Blood coz he bleed) and having babies with her brother (together we make stars). These are suggestions to the subconscience <spelling>

I absolutely love Floetry and "If I Was Bird" is my favorite song by them. I can't wait for them to put out their next album, I know they are probably working on it because they by far have too much talent not to be.
