Fightstar is made up of Alex Westaway on vocals and guitar,
Charlie Simpson also on vocals and guitar, Dan Haigh on
bass guitar and Omar Abidi on drums. They formed in 2003
when Charlie was in the band Busted. In early 2005, Charlie
broke away from Busted to focus on his career with
Fightstar, an edgier, rockier band, which was always where
Charlie's heart had lied. Fightstar have released an EP, a
single called Palahnuiks Laughter which is also known as
Out Swimming in the Flood, which they changed the name of

I really like this song. I saw it live last night @ the Wulfrun and it was SO GOOD!!! Now as for the Busted thing.... i admit i was a big Busted fan. I was gutted wen they split but it got me into the pop rock scene and from that i progressed into alternative rock. And then i descovered Fightstar and was SO PLEASED Charlie decided to continue. I wont say theyre my fave band but i like their music alot. Fab song

Omg no-one has commented on this completly epic song, no-one seems to think fightstar are much, or at least no-one i know tbqh thinks fightstar are good, Sux tbqh they are a real eyeopener, Oh well, Great song, We need more good songs like this(altho everysong by them are good :L Lol)

i think that in terms of musical context, this song is somewhat limited, however in some ways that is what makes it work. it's good simple music, with a very powerful effect.
the lyrics, fit the feel of the song to perfection, and i feel that they tell such a beautiful and poetic story of someones thoughts and feelings. a song or pure emotion, i highly commend the artist(s) for writing these. they are incredible.

This song is so amazing. I can relate to it so well because it talks of not letting anyone else drag you down and pushing through it all. The song lyrics are so intense and I feel like I can say, 'I don't need you' to people who try and tell me otherwise.

i had a few doubts about the band but I know Charlie's real passion most definitely lies away from Busted. In 'We Apologise For Nothing,' and 'Palahnuiks's Laughter,' they have made two amazing songs. This however, is my favourite.
