Inspired by the aggressive new metal sounds of the likes of
Pantera, Skid Row and Metallica, the Judas Priest vocalist
Rob Halford (b. 25 August 1951, Walsall, England) formed
Fight as a solo project to explore material that he felt
was inappropriate for Judas Priest, but it eventually led
to a bitter and acrimonious split from his old band as they
celebrated 20 years together. Taking drummer Scott Travis
with him, Halford recruited guitarists Russ Parrish (ex-War
