Feel Good Inc. Lyrics - Gorillaz
Review The Song (231)
Hahahahahahahahaha,
Feel good,
Feel good,
Feel good,
Feel good,
Feel good,
Feel good,
Feel good,
Feel good,
Feel good...
City's breaking down on a camel's back.
They just have to go 'cause they don't know whack
So all you fill the streets it's appealing to see
You won't get out the county, 'cause you're bad and free
You've got a new horizon it's ephemeral style.
A melancholy town where we never smile.
And all I wanna hear is the message beep.
My dreams, they've got to kiss, because I don't get sleep, no
Windmill, windmill for the land.
Turn forever hand in hand
Take it all in on your stride
It is stinking, falling down
Love forever love is free
Let's turn forever you and me
Windmill, windmill for the land
Is everybody in?
Laughing gas these hazmats, fast cats,
Lining them up like ass cracks,
Ladies, homes at the track
It's my chocolate attack.
Shit, I'm stepping in the heart of this here
Care bear bumping in the heart of this here
Watch me as I gravitate
Hahahahahahaa.
Yo, we gonna go ghost town,
This motown, with yo sound
You're in the place
You gonna bite the dust
Can't fight with us
With yo sound, you kill the INC.
So don't stop, get it, get it
Until you're cheddar header.
Yo, watch the way I navigate
Hahahahahhaa
Feel good, ahhhhahahahah
Feel good, ahhhhahahahah
Feel good, ahhhhahahahah
Feel good, ahhhhahahahah
Windmill, windmill for the land.
Turn forever hand in hand
Take it all in on your stride
It is sticking, falling down
Love forever love is free
Let's turn forever you and me
Windmill, windmill for the land
Is everybody in?
Don't stop, get it, get it
We are your captains in it
Steady, watch me navigate,
Ahahahahahhaa.
Don't stop, get it, get it
We are your captains in it
Steady, watch me navigate
Ahahahahahhaa.
Feel good, AHHHHahahahaha

The msg behind the song | Reviewer: plamk | 1/25/13
What the song is using the windmill as a metaphor for free will, what they are doing is explaining our existence-u won't get out of county coz ur mad and free, this just explains that we live in a prison and we are mad due to they way we live yet we are free due to our free will"the windmill" nw the reference to them been the captain just means they will guide us and show us the way,(also look at clint eastwood), and the msg beep is clear as just b4 they sing about the windmill the song beeps, so they are nt singing about each other bt about us....

2D and I seem to be similar in this way: we both want our freedom and to stop the Inc. I want to break free also, but it's difficult. But I never forget what I want, and THAT is freedom. Nobody will never sink me, 'cause I know that even though the path's not easy, there's a flying windmill, for me and for everyone who wants freedom, that will be waiting for us.
I love this song.

See they are writing and singing this for noodl stuck on windmill island where murdoc is living a false paradise and 2D is stuck with him (I would die if i was living with murdoc in the first HOUR!) and he cant get sleep because Murdoc is always doing his murdoc bullcrap. SOOO 2D Murdoc Russel and Noodle are all basicly trapped in a living hell (Exept for murdoc the Ba$tard!)

it's cool to see people actually disagreeing with the use of drugs. I mean, there are so many kids my age stuck in a fake paradise - ditching school, drinking, taking drugs. This song is awesome!
You Know What? | Reviewer: MyTacoSpokeToMe | 2/9/12
I think it's about a bunch of city people evacuating on camels, who find a creepy little ghost town with a big windmill. Murdoc is the leader of the city people and he wants to get rid of the people who originally lived in the town, and turn it into a big city. 2-D or Noodle or whoever are the people from the town, and they are trying to protect the windmill, which would be important to a small town. Murdoc wins though. Corporate Nazis always win. Until they fail. Then they jump out of their high-rise windows.
the meaning is... | Reviewer: AERO | 1/18/12
I know song meanings from the first second i hear them....this song is about how the corporations and media can bring you down.....the windmill island represents a place of mental freedom that we could enter if not for all the fear in the world....so pretty much....2d murdoc and russel wanted to feel good....so they created the inescapable tower....Feel Good incorporated.....they used drugs and brought girls and alcahol in.....but soon...they were living in a false paradise......... the true meaning is that having everything you ever wanted, doesn't always satisfie you.....

Looking at the video i can see 2-d sorta feels trapped. And he's lost sleep over it. All the while he's stuck with Murdoc to and that has to be the very worst (lol)While Noodle is isolated on Windmill island. all alone. Then some helicopters go to take it out :(
Diffrent View | Reviewer: Anonymous | 12/25/11
I have a diffrent interpretation of the song. To me, it's about two close friends who are forced to seperate because of socity. Noodle is totally diffrent, and could never bow down to what everyone today claims normal. 2D can fit in easy, and in the end, modern socity, or Feel Good Inc steal his individualisim, and he becomes "normal". Sadly, he soon starts longing to be with Noodle on her windmill, but he can never go back to her because he converted. He's trapped.
Very deprssing, but true. I still think this is the best song on earth though. Long live Gorillaz!!

thinkin' | Reviewer: Anonymous | 5/19/11
s'bout how people creat prisons for themselves with their partying and debauchery and 2d in the song represents a person that is realizing this and the "feel good" is sort of like a mantra trying to convince himself that it's how it's supposed to be, that it actually still "feels good"...Noodle(in the video) kind of represents freedom from it all and 2d sings the windmill part like he's longing to be free too but then he turns around again because he doesn't know how to escape from it all...
just a thought probably been said before though. | Reviewer: no | 4/4/11
When I hear this song, I always think that it's saying that all "happy" emotion is now controlled by corporations, and that there are people who don't submit to the life style (noodle) and have to hide from the corps trying to take them down.
Murdoc seems to have no problem with living the life style, Russel doesn't seem to care, he's just there because he has no where else, and it seems that 2D is done with the life style and wants to escape just like noodle did.
what i know | Reviewer: Anonymous | 2/5/11
After an intervew with the gorillaz, I can safely say that the song is based on being trapped by the things you make, as the gorillaz made the feel good inc tower. In the video, ( they made the video to emphasise the point of the song.) it shows 2D walking over to the window. As the chorus starts, noodle bursts through the clouds on a floating windmill island. This is shown in lots of traditional japanese animes & mangas of a sign of freedom. This is a clear message to 2D to escape his violent prison of the Feel Good Inc. towers, but something is holding 2D back. He is not sure if the windmill is a sign of freedom, or just his imagination.
This is the true meaning of the song & video; being held back, being trapped by the things you make, and not being able to break free.

I think that murdoc lives in the feel good lifestyle (as he is most at peace with the sins around him) 2D wants to get away from the feel good lifestyle, Russel simply goes with the lifestyle and noodle has already escaped the lifestyle and judging by the following videos, murdoc seems to be the only thing holding the gorillaz to the hell none of them really want a part of. thus causing 2D depression, russel anger and noodle, near death.

Very good song. If you read the lyrics, and listen to the song at the same time, it really makes you think. It's a hard feeling to explain. It's amazing what Damon Albarn can think up. I totally understand this song, even though its sad, but true.
Rise Of The Ogre | Reviewer: faulkett@hotmail.com | 9/10/10
As per usual most if not all of the song's 'meaning' is in the music video. As explained in the Gorillaz book 'Rise of the Ogre'
The song is about Russel, Murdoc, and 2-D being stuck in Feel Good.INC
Stuck in a rut of debauchery and self-decay. Noodle played the role of an escapee, quite literally escaping on a floating island powered by a windmill. Aswell as being chased by Feel Good INC's helo's.
The reason the rapper seems to sound almost mocking to a certain degree was that the rappers played the roles of the overseers in the video.
Though they do actually say 'How to kill the INC' in the song the Gorillaz didn't feel it was out there enough. SO they focused more around the maniacal laughing.
The song it's self is quite literally about being stuck inside oneself, imprisoned in a false paradise. Much like the one drugs present. Is everyone seeing the connection now?
Though most of the 'before rap' lyrics is simply 2-D singing directly to escapee Noodle about how free she is compared to himself, Russel and Murdoc (one who seems to enjoy the Feel Good INC experience... which is totally in Murdoc's character)
