The underlying gravitas of this song is the portrayal of characteristics of man and woman. It is very subtle, but both of the subjects know their place in the scenario quite well. The woman knows her mystique as well as she understands the possibilities of her future turmoil. She basically says one day I'm probably going to seek finality, but I "Feel for you" so I'm just going to stop thinking. The woman obviously isn't dead, Marco is speaking in metaphor. Barely cold, suggests that the relationship is new and hasn't had time to digress.
Perhaps this might strike people the wrong way, but I believe it is important to look at the lyrics objectively and realize that they say a lot about our sexes.

She loves him, badly. He was her first love, He broke her heart.
She tries to tell him and herself that she doesn't want him any more, that she doesn't need him. But he knows well that he still has the control over her. (this is what i get from it, obviously my opinion, i could be wrong but it seems right.

I think the lyrics are describing a couple. She recently died, and is haunting him near the bed in which they spent time together. He finally kills himself to be with her and even the score. At least that's my interpretation. It could be totally off, but how I personally describe the song.

I really love this song, but I just can't get an idea what the lyrics are about :O. She seems in love, but he doesn't...I don't know, I just don't get the meaning of the verses Marco sings. Someone could help me with that?

I've had this song stuck in my head today, and I just went to Amazon.com and listened to waaaay too many clips from Nightwish songs. I don't have any of their CD's so I have to make do with the clips for now.
But, my point is that Traja from Nightwish has a better voice than Amy Lee from Evanescence. Also Nightwish songs vary in subject, while Evanescence has almost all personal songs. Don't get me wrong, I like Evanescence, I just think Nightwish is better.
