You, there on the bridge
where have you been, whats your name?
and you, there you on the wall
where will you go to once you fall?
you, lost at sea
do you need me, do you need directions?
hey, put down the gun
what are you thinking?
you were someone's son
the taste of tears
the sting of pain
the smell of fear
the sounds of crying
a long, long time ago i fell to this place
from another dimesnion
and thrust amongst the beasts
and they way they behave borders on dementia
now through all these years
i can barely take it
i don't think i can make it
take me away from here
I want to go home
i'm so sick and tired of the
the taste of tears
the sting of pain
the smell of fear
the sounds of crying
as you standing at the edge of your life
what do you remember?
was it all you wanted?
I'm trying to earn a set of feathery wings
i wish i could protect you here
oh, please don't cry
now smile as you're standing
at the edge of your life
your troubles are over
mine are just beginning
I'm trying to earn a set of feathery wings
to take me away from here
its me you leave behind
if only i could have been there
i'd be a hand for the sinking
if only i could have been there
i'd be a prayer for the dying
see the pain etched in my face
i'm so sick and tired of
the taste of tears
the sting of pain
the smell of fear
the sounds of crying
as you're standing at the edge of your life
what do you remember was it all you wanted
I'm trying to earn a set of feathery wings
i wish i could protect you here
oh, please don't cry
now smile as you're standing
at the edge of your life
your troubles are over
mine are just beginning
I'm trying to earn a set of feathery wings
to take me away from here
its me you leave
you're gone from here
don't leave from here
don't leave me here
I hate it here
you're gone from here
don't leave me here
I need you here
I need to see you smile

Review about Feathery Wings The Crow...? | Reviewer: Crow Black Dream | 11/4/09
As some of you know, The Crow goes way beyond James O'Barr's comic, or Brandon Lee's movie; the idea that the crow is the bearer of souls from the land of the living to the realm of the dead has been legend since time immemorial. This song really reminds me of The Crow, as he is a kind of Reaper, but also, if you've read up a bit more on all things to do with The Crow, in addition to being a dark avenger, is often a sympathetic soul to those suffering, and the lyrics fit very well with J. O'Barr's universe. Just my own personal thoughts.
You two are interpreting the wrong song. | Reviewer: Anonymous | 8/20/09
This is "Feathery Wings", not "Almost Human".
Satan/Lucifer/etc. rule in Hell, which is the part of the afterlife where those who kill themselves go--HOWEVER, that means that it's not the Devil they leave behind.
This song is from the reaper's point of view. He has to deliver the souls of the dead, but he can't save them or interact with them before their time comes, and he can't just move on to the afterlife himself.

Well as I understand it, satan isn't technically evil. God created Angels and then created man, however he valued man as his greatest accomplishment and asked all Angels to bow to man. Lucifers pride drove him to claim it as unfair and stand up to God. He's evil in the sense that he fought against God the manifestation of good, but I don't think allowing his pride to get the better of him makes him wicked or cruel. And without Satan to compare God too there could be no good or evil.
Good song to talk about Satan | Reviewer: Anonymous | 7/3/07
You can really get what he's trying to say through Lucifer's point of view of the world. It makes one wonder if the supposed Lord of Darkness is as bad as he seems...From this song, I personally get the feeling that it might be a bit hard to abandon all angelic feelings, even if you're the epitome of all evil.
