All i can say is it brings out emotion in the majority of people who have watched the OC. So whoever says this song is a bad cover is severly wrong. I actually enjoyed all three, but found that Blunt's evoked a different emotional reaction. Crowded House's version seems like the strong someone waiting for their beloved to recover from some hidden personal pain. Jesse Cooke's version was true to Crowded House, but didn't really strike a new chord. In Blunt's version, there was something new. This wasn't just someone hanging on the sidelines while his lover suffered -- in Blunt's version, it is as if he is suffering his own private torment as well, that is drawn with bitter strings through the rendition.
