Seether is not metal. Seether is not rock. They're a mix of post-grunge, hard rock, and alt metal, in that order. If you were to give a single genre label, which is generally inadequate, but post-grunge would be the best fit. I listened to album start to finish, and I believe this was one of their stronger songs, and very much embodying the post-grunge elements of their style. I wouldn't ever consider Seether or this song to be my top 10, but perhaps top 50 or 100. This song, while not up to the techinical standards and brutality of my top picks, consisting of death, thrash, and groove metal, is solid. It's worth a listen. Even if you aren't a fan of post-grunge, at least listen to it, buy it on iTunes, whatever. It's worth it.
