My mum, dad & best friend passed away within 6 years of each other; all b4 I turned 30. In Nov 2007, after 7 years together, I married the most wonderful man on this earth - despite his being an avid Star Trek fan! After hearing this song & listening to the words, I just knew I was going to walk down the aisle on our Wedding Day (1st marriage for both of us) to this piece of music. Talk about emotional - I cried all the way down the aisle and right through the ceremony - and still do every time I hear it - but even if I could do it all again, I wouldn't choose any other piece of music ... it was absolutely perfect and appropriate for all I have been through. Only months after our wedding, I was diagnosed with malignant tumors - but with an operation & some follow up treatment I celebrated my 50th birthday at the end of 2008. Despite all the negatives in my life, I am so grateful for who I am & what I have and don't know that it would be possible for me to be happier than I am right now ... it's certainly been a long road though.
