Extreme Ways Lyrics

Performed by Moby
Review The Song (25)

Extreme ways are back again
Extreme places I didn't know
I broke everything new again
Everything that I'd owned
I threw it out the window; came along
Extreme ways I know will part the colors of my sea
the perfect colored sea

Extreme ways that help me
They help me out late at night
Extreme places I had gone
That never seen any light
Dirty basements, dirty noise
Dirty places coming on
Extreme worlds alone
Did you ever like it then?

I would stand in line for this
There's always room in life for this

Oh baby, oh baby
Then it fell apart, it fell apart
Oh baby, oh baby
Then it fell apart, it fell apart

Extreme sounds that told me
They held me down every night
I didn't have much to say
I didn't give up the life
I closed my eyes and closed myself
And closed my world and never opened up to anything
That could get me at all

I had to close down everything
I had to close down my mind
Too many things could cut me
Too much could make me blind
I've seen so much in so many places
So many heartaches, so many faces
So many dirty things
You couldn't even believe

I would stand in line for this
there's always room in life for this

Oh baby, oh baby
Then it fell apart, it fell apart
Oh baby, oh baby
Then it fell my heart, it fell apart
Oh baby, oh baby
Then it fell apart, it fell apart
Oh baby, oh baby
Like it always does, always does

Good music. GOD bless Moby. | Reviewer: Vycktur son-of-GOD | 12/3/11

The tone for this song is emotional. N it kinda reminds me of my virulent past.. "i had to close down everything...i had to close down my mind" i love that line cuz i had to close down my mind to the ugly things of this world. With God in my Heart, i am grateful to The Almighty for accepting me! GOD BE WITH US ALL.

The Bourne Trilogy is the best action film ever, Jason is a superb actor and I think he must be personally a really decent man. I want to believe that anyway. Like so many people who have seen "extreme" in their own lives but still remain decent, in spite of the evil done them. I feel these films and this music will have impact for a very long time. And to Connie who lost her son, we lost our 24 year old grandson not that long ago. Me and mine have had hard lives and I have lost many people near and dear, beginning with my best friend who was also my father when I was 8 and needed him so bad, but the loss of this handsome young man full of promise was as close to hell as I ever want to go. but the result of all this misery made me want to find out "what the HELL is going on" and I have. I know this for absolute sure; God lives, Jesus Christ lives and Your Jason still lives. YOu will see him again. I have won this knowledge through hellish adversity and I am still alive because of it. and God bless us, everyone.

MOBY BOURNE ULTIMATUM | Reviewer: Martin | 9/22/10

Like so many heard the tune with the films. What done it for me in the Bourne Ultimatum was as Jason Bourne is left for dead in the water. The music cuts in "Alive,Free to start Again. This tune is about life.Music affects all of us,and our own personal feelings at the time. This tune cuts me like a razor BRILLIANT.

I understand | Reviewer: Anonymous | 9/19/10

Dont matter much what anyone else says or thinks. Its what the song means to YOU. I think the song is awesome and I feel like I can very much relate. To me, its about a lot of loss and a lot of extreme hardship that I have been through. But yet drawing strength from within and overcoming anything life has thrown at me. To me this song is special and I thank Moby for it.

Sounds Good | Reviewer: don | 5/7/10

I love the big city and Moby's lyrics are about big city life, drugs, sex. I guess he liked those "extremes" until he either got tired of them or something traumatic happened. Oh, to be young, skinny and fancy free again!!!

extremely perfect | Reviewer: Turkish | 12/4/09

it was the first time I was watching the Bourne Identity at my home cinema and at the end of the movie when this song began to play I got too much excited. I could't believe my ears, this song so much suited the movie. When I watched the second movie I expected this song again and it happened so. The third movie included the reprise version which conquered my heart forever. Everytime I listen to any version of thisd masterpiece, the blood in my veins stream in double speed :-)

I would stand in line for this | Reviewer: Robbie | 7/28/09

This is an important song from my ‘travel’ playlist, I knew it long before I heard it on the Bourne soundtrack (which fitted in perfectly). To me it represents my desire to travel in challenging sometime dangerous environments, mainly because life is so cotton wool in western countries I get bored. It about the duality of seeking experience then being disturbed about what you have encountered. This could equally apply to travel, drugs, emotions. It’s about becoming a person who probably won’t make a very good dinner party guest, because you have seen just how thin the veneer of society really is…..

real deep | Reviewer: Anonymous | 5/15/09

although my life has changed completely i can totally relate to what he has inked. reminds me of my 20's living in a foreign country trying to find my way through life...no money, nowhere to live, on the streets, sleeping in restaurant bathrooms, train stations....I feel his pain too..

NOTHING TO DO WITH THE MOVIE | Reviewer: Breno | 12/29/08

This song has nothing to do with the movie, it wasn't made for the movie. It has to do with the extreme way of life moby used to live at nightclubs that helped him overcome his problems and go on with his life.

extreme ways-one who knows | Reviewer: mikey s | 12/15/08

when i first heard 'extreme ways' i thought moby was trying to parody lou reads style and lyric writing, but the more you listen to this brill tune you realise this guy must have suffered greatly to pen this.it mymics the 'underground'life styles of many people at the end of the 20th century but is still relevant to many today.you can feel the torture of losing love and loved ones and identity,in the verses.-superb music-it makes you think and remember, where you have been and where your going in life. an 'anthem'to hope.-when you have been this low,the only way is up!!
