I first heard this song during the film, "And Now Ladies and Gentlemen...."

Maybe it was the situation depicted in the movie, or maybe it was the voice, but at times, I cannot get enough of this song. The singer was a Dutch chanteuse. The male lead in the movie is Jeremy Irons. Both characters discover a similar, eerie malady, from which they suffer. If you have liked this song before, you will like it even more in the movie.

After a while listening to this song, it makes me think of a couple that had fallen apart because she felt the need to escape and find herself (I've travelled 'round/ Through deserts on my horse). Now, she remembers that he had promised to wait for her (You said you'd meet me/On the sunny road), and decides to risk and return. Who knows...maybe I'm wrong.

I heard this song on the soundtrack for the movie "Pumpkin" and found her rendition of one of my favorite J. Brel songs to be absolutely haunting. I have had no success in finding any album containing it, and so I would apreciate any help I can get in this endeavor.
