Embodyment was formed in 1993 under the name "Supplication"
by guitarist Andrew Godwin and bassist Kevin Donnini. With
a couple of songs written, they recruited
vocalist/guitarist Jason Lindquist, guitarist Taylor Smith
and drummer Mark Garza in hopes of bring original death
metal to the music scene. Their first tape, Persistant Sin,
while fairly successful, was more a mixture of metal with
death-style vocals.
