I saw Jim Reeves and the Blueboys in person as a kid and followed his career, a career that continued after his death. Still I never knew what made him such a superstar in South Africa. This is one of his bigger hits there, according to a couple of girls I met from SA in Europe. Even in Afrikaans, it has a way of stirring the soul. Don't you agree?
