Katy perry has said she loves this song :) but she sings the clean version!! The lyrics do actually say "im blue and in need of a guy" because hes depressed about being in the closet.. Thats why He says about his gf being blue too :) if that makes sense?

Just think why would he be blue he has a house, has a girlfriend, and has a corvette? He is blue inside because of depression and he is blue on the outside because of lack of oxygen due to O.D.ing.

I think it is about the bible, and how ridiculous it is to live by it.

I think bubble was intentionally ment to sound like bible - I think the group uses masking in this way in a number of their songs (Kind of like Stairway to Heaven played backwards)... look at blue (da ba dee)
