Eddy Arnold Lyrics

It would be a gross understatement to call Eddy Arnold a
giant of American Music. Deity might be a more appropriate
word for a man who scored 58 consecutive top ten country
hits between his debut in 1945 and 1954, who never scored
less than a top forty hit during the first 21 years of his
career, charted over 140 records and sold a staggering
total of over 85 million records including timeless
classics like "Bouquet of Roses" and "Anytime." Not bad for
a fellow dubbed "The Tennessee Plowboy" because he was a
former Tennessee plow More...

Review about Eddy Arnold songs
learning to yodel | Reviewer: DW Sherwood
------ About the song Cattle Call performed by Eddy Arnold

When I was a young boy every morning the radio station would play the cattle call by Eddy Arnold. I have learned to yodel because of this and the little bit my Dad did.

------ About the song M-O-T-H-E-R (a Word That Means The World To Me) performed by Eddy Arnold

I remember singing this song solo in front of the whole church on Mothers Day many many years ago. When my mom passed away in 2004, at the graveside service, I asked my sibling to sing it with me because it was her favorite song.

------ About the song Green Leaves Of Summer performed by Eddy Arnold

I work at a place that takes care of people that need support. Mentally retarded or as we say MR. My client there asked me today if I knew the words to this song, said it was always playing on John Wayne's movie The Alamo. He wants to make something for his brother that takes care of him. Love the words and thank you for having them so I could write them down for him...I promised. He is a kind soul and only wants to make a gift for his brother to show how much he loves him. Thanks again.ADG

This song has been running through my head the past few days. I looked it up because I wanted to share it with my granddaughters who are just at the cusp of being adults. I do hope they always walk in sunshine.

my husband died yesterday and 61 years ago he sang this song to me in the car when he asked me to marry him. I would like the music to play at his funeral but having trouble getting it, will have to get the grandchildren to help.

------ About the song M-O-T-H-E-R (a Word That Means The World To Me) performed by Eddy Arnold

My Aunt Ann used to sing this song at family get togethers. My gramma died when I was 1 and her "13" kids missed her terribly. So everytime we had a family gathering my Aunt Ann would sing this song in dedication to their Mom "Gramma Helen". So not only does this song remind me of Gramma Helen but of my MOM "Madalyn" (who has passed away to) and of My aunt Ann who is now 79. They were all Beautiful "MOTHERS" who loved their children to pieces.Their children ALWAYS came first.
What a beautiful song. Thank you Eddy Arnold for doing such an awesome job performing it. And to all you Beautiful Mothers out there. Happy Mothers day. I dedicate this song to you all.

------ About the song Did You See My Daddy Over There performed by Eddy Arnold

Margaret, good luck finding it on a CD. I'd be happy to locate it on a 78! I've been looking for it for a long time.
My dad had jukeboxes and pinball machines in central Florida at the end of the war and he helped me learn this song as a six year old. It brought a lot of tears to a lot of returning GIs and a lot of beers for my Dad.
I remember the lyrics only slightly different but nothing significant.Hopefully, someone will see this and be able to furnish us a copy.
