Raised in Wales on the Llŷn Peninsula with her twin sister,
Katy, her parents divorced when she was 10, and she moved
to Pembrokeshire with her mother and sisters, while her
father remained in Nefyn. She is the only female from the
Llŷn Peninsula to ever top the UK music singles charts. Her
early interest in singing was apparently inspired by her
father John Duffy's videotape of the 1960s television rock
show Ready Steady Go!.

This is a beautiful song, possibly my favorite of all time. Her voice is so strong.

I was listening to this song while on a flight from London to Detroit. I am terrified of planes, and this song calmed me down so much.

A great, great song. I highly recommend it.

to libby , this is music . doesn't mean u have to have a nice and soothing voice just because u're singing . duffy has her OWN unique voice and she , is able to bring live with her powerful voice . i bet that certain artist cant do that . she's not shrekin . she dont warble when she sings . its in her personality . if she doesnt sing clearly for u , may be u should go dig ur ears . many people adore , love duffy . her strong voice made people love her . if u dislike her , i suggest , stop listening to duffy and get on with it . she's a successful singer , im lucky there is such singer such as duffy

Whenever I hear Duffy singing, I feel like running into her recording studio and shaking her. Her voice is horrible, not clear at all. I can't find words to describe it. Go listen to Spread Your Wings or the 'So you think you can love me and leave me to die' of Bohemian Rhapsody, both by Queen. Duffy warbles; Freddie's voice soars high and is crystal clear. How did modern music go so badly astray? I'm 12. Hate music that's described as 'modern'. Love Queen, who were big in the 1970's and 80's. I'm listening to 'Keep Yourself Alive' by Queen at the moment (1973, according to my Ipod) and the difference with this song is pitiful. I would gladly destroy for ever the music archives of 2007 and 2008. Music has died. Music was thriving 20-30 years ago. Now it's stone dead.

At first, I hated it, but now I love her because her voice is so beautiful but it's not like the other's that I've heard before. She is a wonderful singing and no one can compare to her amazing voice. LOVE IT!!! xoxoxoxo
