The two musical styles are so dissimilar that it makes about as much sense as comparing a barn to an banana. Oddly enough, you profess to hate modern music when Duffy's style is heavily based on music from twenty-thirty years ago. Her voice is horrible, not clear at all. I can't find words to describe it. Go listen to Spread Your Wings or the 'So you think you can love me and leave me to die' of Bohemian Rhapsody, both by Queen. Duffy warbles; Freddie's voice soars high and is crystal clear. How did modern music go so badly astray? I'm 12. Hate music that's described as 'modern'. Love Queen, who were big in the 1970's and 80's. I'm listening to 'Keep Yourself Alive' by Queen at the moment (1973, according to my Ipod) and the difference with this song is pitiful. I'm looking forward to hearing Duffy sing it well in about 10 years time when she's found her own voice! I would love to hear Amy W sing this to show how good a song it is (and no Duffy is no way comparable to Amy in either talent or stage presence!)
