------ About the song Catch Without Arms performed by Dredg
I think this song is about being in a relationship purely based on sex, if in a relationship at all. I only looked into some parts of the song, so I could be wrong.
But, the lyrics say, "So sing about love, Sing about lust, So they will care. It's the same difference."
In this case, love and lust are the same thing because although they may "love" eachother, the relationship is just based on lustful actions.
Then, the chorus begins with, "That's what happens when you play catch without arms.
It's what sets, sets, sets us apart" Here, this is continuing the idea of sex without love. That's what happens, when you play "sex" without "love" basically, lol. Think about it, you can't play catch without arms, and if you try, you won't be successful. Eventually, when there is no real love involved with sex, it inevitably 'sets apart' the relationship. Some of the song may also involve the idea of "change" because of the line "That's what happens when you compromise your art. It's what sets, sets, sets apart" Like, when you change (compromise) yourself (art), then relationships around you falter as well.
"Set the bait so they will bite it." - The bait, being sex, lures people into misguiding situations, and in the end they "can't deny" the "hook"(hurt/pain) that comes with lust.
"Sing about love so they can feel it
Sing about love so they can sing it" Here, the author of the lyrics is trying to encourage others to be proud of love, and FEEL LOVE, and not to lust after something just because you want sex, because it only brings emotional distress if there is no attachment to love.

I love this song a lot, it's about a girl who he loved leaving for a few years, (possibly forever) and he's just dying from depression, I really like it how they top it with the piano solo solo at the end. Catch Without Arms Album is amazing.

------ About the song Bug Eyes performed by Dredg
I swear, this song kicks ass beyond ass. It's haunting, beautiful, and badass at the same time. Not to mention it's got one helluva guitar riff to start with and throughout(for guitarists, it's 3-5-6-10-13-15-18, I think, on the e (not E) string, played with hyper-picking). Love it.

------ About the album Catch Without Arms performed by Dredg
but, i have to say it's definitely in my top 5 fav. albums ever.
Amazin song attacking the clean and commerical side of music trying to exploit the norms by singing about what they feel and not what the muscian feels thats what sets them apart.. its all about makin themselves rich , but dredg get rich with there own music personally, mentally and spirtually :)
lyrics are slightly off there.... | Reviewer: Cobi
