Rings - Dr. Hook | Reviewer: ilovecondiments
------ About the song Rings performed by Dr. Hook & the Medicine Show
I remember this song from my teen years, especially the line "ring ring, golden ring, around the sun, around your pretty finger." I will probably add this song to my ipod at some point, if it's available.
a couple more years is one of dr.hooks best albums of all. | Reviewer: david
------ About the album A Little Bit More performed by Dr. Hook & the Medicine Show
of all the albums dr.hook has recorded,i believe a couple more years is their best.i hate to admit it,but i am 36 years old and only became a fan after finding a cd and listening to sylvias mother and cover of the rolling stones.now i simply cannot get enough.i can't pick a favorite dr.hook song but i can say a couple more years is my favorite album.just wish could have seen the guys live back in the 70's.

------ About the song A Couple More Years performed by Dr. Hook & the Medicine Show
I have this on tape and love it. Played over and over and not even sure if tape is still good. But I would love this in CD and The song A couple more years in Karaoke. Have asked around and no one has heard of the song, OR the one Stone and I missed it.
WOULD LOVE BOTH SONGS IN KARAOKE.

sweet pain of shared loss | Reviewer: Renita
------ About the song (One More Year Of) Daddy's Little Girl performed by Dr. Hook & the Medicine Show
A bittersweet reminder of the loss a parent feels after losing a child to death. Even 7 years later this song brought tears to me for all of the parents who have lost ....perhaps if more people heard this an awarness of what is important would occur. Maybe there could be less fighting amoungst ourselves and fighting for children to live could be a reality.
Shel's Songs | Reviewer: Alvin
------ About the song A Couple More Years performed by Dr. Hook & the Medicine Show
The team work between Shel and Dr. Hook are phenomenal. The songs are masterfully written and the arrangements create the perfect mood. This song is the perfect example pulling the listener back to a time when they were a couple years older, or younger... it really paints the picture. Well Done.
What happened | Reviewer: Glenn
------ About the song Sylvia's Mother performed by Dr. Hook & the Medicine Show
Sylvia never married, she never got over her over-bearing mothers interference in the one true love of her life. She did however disign and market a range of pre-cut labels which bear her family name to this day.
He ran out of 40 cents before the old bag would let him speak to Sylvia, but he did manage to get a date with the long distance operator. They married had three kids and although never as rich as Sylvia, they acquired enough money to retire to Hawaii where he was last heard of researching and writing a book that proves Pacific Island people discovered America even before the Vikings got there. He still thinks fondly of Sylvia and wonders what happened to her.
Dog gone | Reviewer: Cindy
------ About the song Marie Lavaux performed by Dr. Hook & the Medicine Show
I think instead of 'done gone' its 'dog gone'. I know for a fact 'dog gone' is a saying we use in Australia, but dont know if its originated there or UK, its an expression for something dumbfounded or disappeared. Missing. A slang really.
It doesn't take much... | Reviewer: Anna
------ About the song Sylvia's Mother performed by Dr. Hook & the Medicine Show
One of those songs I never think about, but is brought to mind very easily and takes up residence immediately. There was a radio show with a character called Slyvia; her mother was mentioned and I was off... I've always loved it's melodrama and sentiment. Great guilty pleasure.
Bj Cooper & The Broken Heart Express Band Loves Your Song | Reviewer: Bj Cooper
------ About the song A Couple More Years performed by Dr. Hook & the Medicine Show
I can only say as an artist myself this song is one of my all time favorites. I recently recorded this song for my new CD and I hope it is somehow even close to the way you performed it. The sound and vocal tones are just fantastic and the way you sold it was great. The idea to f the lyrics are ahead of its time. You really made this song something to remember and alway be proud of. One could only be so lucky as to be the first to do such a great song and do it so well no one could ever match it. Great job, fantastic song and great band.
We much respect BJ Cooper

What a great and energetic upbeat song with such a very cool and in some cases realalistic message. This a such a fun song to sing, especially when I get most of the background vocals correct.

I heard this on the radio today for the fisrt time in decades. It's as meloncholy today as it was when it was all over the airwaives way back when. I can't believe I forgot this song existed. Now I have to go find a Dr. Hook collection...

------ About the song Jungle to the Zoo performed by Dr. Hook & the Medicine Show
This was one of my favourite songs in 1977-78. It is a song for enacting at home and having great fun. My children have heard me sing or rather narrate the song several times and laughed. I would like to hear the song again as I have lost the track now. I would like my children to hear the song. Great memories.

------ About the song Sylvia's Mother performed by Dr. Hook & the Medicine Show
I grew up with DrHook, n i classify myself as a groupie! I can sing the lyrics with compassion, with meaning and a face to prove it!!!!
Try me I feel this! n, this is wat I want, not wealth and misconception!
but passion, n,the complete, crazy, embarrasing(this is what I''m talking about) love and frustration for someone so much more than myself that I want to celebrate for them and not myself conception...
who could want more than someone who is fallin in love for the first time.
Who cares!!!
Shout, hip, hip, horray!!!
