Edguy truly deserve the title of heirs of Power Metal, at least in Germany, as they have either equalised or even surpassed legendary German bands like Helloween and Gamma Ray. If you like this band check frontman Tobias Sammet's unbelievable side project, a metal opera called "Avantasia"; its just like a regular opera where singers play different parts, only this time the result is quite heavy, melodic and powerful, just check some of the players (both singers and musicians): Tobias Sammet, Michael Kiske, Alex Holzwarth, Timo Tolkki, David deFeis, Sharon del Andel, Andre Matos, Kai Hansen, Michael Grooskopf, Henjo Richter, Bob Catley and also Edguy's lead guitar Jens Ludwig.
