This song is so true. I remember having such a crush on some of my teachers in high school. A lot of people said it's because I didn't grow up with a dad, and i just wanted a father figure in my life, but i felt a real attraction. Then when i was 18 i slept with my english teacher. he was 42. sometimes things just happen, and this song sure brings back those memories.

I had plenty of teacher crushes starting at Middle School. The stares alone were enough to express the illicit thoughts but that is where it stood. The smile at graduation and smothering embrace spoke so much that if I could, I would have b/c all my friends back then acted on their emotions. I love this songs b/c it brings back that time of school girl crushes that in itself were beautiful experiences.

Married, yes they were but that does stop a man from wanting the innocence or lack there of from a young girl. Hell, I loved teasing my science teacher and in college, now that was a different story. This song was the cause of many a heartache between myself and teachers while I was in high school. Sleeping with most of my male teachers didn't get me what I wanted or needed. Years of therapy helped me figure that out.

I think men who are attracted to young girls are secretly wanting to be a father and and to have a young girl adore him, to love etec etc... except they misread these thoughts into wanting to 'love' a young school girl.

Some teachers are real sickos. That's why my kids are homeschooled. The reference to Nabakov is about a book called lolita with a man who is obssessed with a 12 year old girl. HOW SICK AND GROSS. UGH

All these years I've been listening to this song and only when I saw The Police live this week did I find out about this song. I'm sure this song applies to many a student and teacher... like myself.
