Don't Lose Touch Lyrics
Artist(Band):Against Me!
You're coming off kinda contrived and pretentious
You're not sayin anything we haven't heard before
You're caught up in an argument
oh oh You're so lost in modern art.
You will lose it all, and you will find again.
Don't lose touch. Don't lose touch.
SOS Texted from a cell phone.
Please tell me I'm not the only one
that thinks we're taking ourselves too seriously.
Just a little too enamoured with inflated self purpose.
Talk is cheap. And it doesn't mean much.
Don't lose touch. Don't lose touch.
I'm losing touch. I'm losing touch. (I'm losing touch)
well, I'm losing touch. I'm losing touch. (well, I'm losing touch)
Constant entertainment for our restless minds.
Constant stimulation for epic appetites.
Is there something wrong with these songs?
Maybe there's something wrong with the audience.
Manipulation in rock music. Fucking Nausea.
I'm losing touch. I'm losing touch. (I'm losing touch)
I'm losing touch. And it's obvious.

Review about Don't Lose Touch
re: The meaning | Reviewer: John | 7/30/2008
I think that they realize that people in society more and more day after day are not as humble as they used to be. People like to inflate themselves to appear bigger and better withough making contributions to society. "Talk is cheap, and it doesnt mean much" People convince themselves that they are great, to one day realize they have done nothing really GREAT and they are normal regular people then they breakdown and send out the SOS. Thats my interpretation.

The meaning... | Reviewer: Bernardo | 2/23/2008
What's the meaning of the lyrics?
I had some reflections about it and i found it was some kind of an anwser to the critics they have been through when they turn a little bit the band style. They say "Is there something wrong with these songs?" and also that they're "losing touch". They comented the critics on the first verse and the critic is that they're "Lost in modern art", he makes an irony with that saying it's a cliche argument.
On the second verse the author talk about the movement they had been through, didn't it makes sense?
Amazing. | Reviewer: Samantha | 10/1/2007
Such a great, catchy song. With such a true meaning. Tom Gabel is truly amazing. Against Me! is truly amazing.
