Dolly Parton Lyrics

Dolly Partons standing as one of the entertainment worlds
most beloved and durable superstars is undeniably assured.
But as the celestial-voiced songstress illustrates on her
new Columbia/Blue Eye album Something Special, the thrill
of making music is far from gone for the dazzling superstar.

Comprised of ten songs written by the prolific yet
extraordinarily profound artist, Something Special reveals
yet new dimensions to Dollys enormous musical gifts. With
such songs as the enchanting Green-Eyed Boy, the
heartbreaking Crippled Bird, More...

Review about Dolly Parton songs
So Thankful I found it! | Reviewer: Diane
------ About the song Two Little Orphans performed by Dolly Parton

My mother taught me this song when I was about 5 or 6 years old. She passed on right after my 8th birthday and I could only remember the first 2 lines of the song. I am so thankful that I have found all the lyrics to the song. I believe my mom brought me to this website.

------ About the song Little Blossom performed by Dolly Parton

My husband used sing this song and make us all cry. He had learned from his mother. It seems that there was another verse that the bartender was not to blame because he had a licence to sell.

------ About the song Two Little Orphans performed by Dolly Parton

My mother is from co clare in Ireland and now aged 84. She taught me this song as a child and her mother had taught it to her so it must go way back... Any idea how old it is or anything else on its origins?

My Thoughts on Washday Blues | Reviewer: Joyce Baker
------ About the song Washday Blues performed by Dolly Parton

I was mightily impressed to do a story about how thankful I am that my automatic washer stopped performing. I was given a dear old wringer washer, by my Dad, that belonged to his late wife and my wonderful step-mom. The washer had sit in the basement of their house for over twenty years and had not been even plugged up.It works like a new one, almost. The reason I am so happy about all this is that it has gotten me outside and moving around. I had gotten really pampered by my washer and dryer and now realize the great outdoors is the place to be on washday. The only blues that get to me are the shades in the clouds as I smell the warm sun and frabic drenched clothes, blowing in the wind.

PS I know this review is supposed to be about Dolly Parton's Washday Blues. I am sitting here hoping to hear the song . I live way out in the country and my dial-up computer service has me missing out on alot of things, especially music and movies, and so on. If this song is anything like any of Dolly's other songs, I know I will love and enjoy it. Dolly is one of my idols. She is beautiful, caring and a good woman.

------ About the song Hello God performed by Dolly Parton

Very profound. A layman's approach to one's relationship with God: the questioning, the doubts, the wrestling with one's conscience and the acceptance. So touching I can't help stop and reflect what my relationship really with God is.

------ About the song Travelin Through performed by Dolly Parton

Dolly rocks! I am in no way religious (spiritual, but not religious), but I suspect this woman is an angel walking around disguised as a human.
I'm also f2M and appreciate that such a well-respected artist added so much to the message of this film by, once again, showing the courage to speak the truth.
Rock on, Dolly!

------ About the song Creepin In (With Norah Jones) performed by Dolly Parton

When my mom and I first heard this song ,we were on a roadtrip headed to Montana. I love the high and quirky pitch of Dolly Partona and then that that smooth stprong voice from Norah. The music is great and it has that bluegrass pickin vibe. And of course that fun laugh at the end just makes the ending of this song.

Thank you, Dolly! | Reviewer: Joel
------ About the song Travelin Through performed by Dolly Parton

I am a transgender man (female to male), and this song is a real inspriation. It's wonderful coming from my favorite female artist of all time, and this song lifts me when I am down. The lyrics are beautiful, and the voice behind the lyrics is even more amazing.
I just want to say THANK YOU DOLLY!

Joel
