I would pick and we would sing
To the rhythm of that front porch swing
The moonlight held the spotlight that we shared
I found new notes on that old guitar
She believed I could be a star
She told me that she wanted to be fair
She said "Love will only hold you down
Boy, you're glory bound
We can't share a world with different dreams"
So I chased mine and she found hers too,
But someone else made hers come true
Now I'm a star, but every time I sing
Chorus:
My heart goes drifting down a dusty dixie road
Taking my mind, back in time
L.A. lights burn like hell once you know
You left heaven waitin' down the dixie road.
Every night I'm in a different place
And I'm searching every stranger's face
Trying to find the girl that's just not there
She's back there in Montgomery
And I'm clear across the country
But whenever I'm alone I go back there.

dixie road is a country song which is a very good song to listen to and the song is about a road called dixie road which is a road somewhere in the world, in the universe, in the galaxy, in the solar system. a road is something that you walk on, usually covered with tar. a road can be for a truck or a plane, or a taxi, or a van, or a helicopter, or a fighter jet or maybe a human. there are roads everywhere in the world there are about a million billion roads in the whole world, in the whole universe, in the whole galaxy, in the whole solar system. roads are very hard. roads are roads. some roads take a long time to build, some take a minute. some roads can lead to space, where there is space. most of the roads in the world are painted over with words or numbers or perhaps pictures and arrows. did you know that some roads are upside down and some are downside up? you should, shoud'nt you. actually there are no roads that are upside down or downside up. but you can see something like this in space. so what i'm trying to ay is : go to space in a rocket which contains a road in it.
