Zero 7 Distractions Lyrics

Last updated: 01/01/2011 10:00:00 AM

Fancy a big house
Some kids and a horse
I can not quite, but nearly
Guarantee, a divorce
I think that I love you
I think that I do
So go on mister, make Miss me Mrs you.

I love you, I love you, I love you, I do
I only make jokes to distract myself
From the truth, from the truth.

Fancy a fast car
A bag full of loot
I can nearly guarantee
You'll end up with the boot

I love you, I love you, I love you , I do
I only make jokes to distract myself
From the truth, from the truth.
I love you, I love you, I love you , I do
I only make jokes to distract myself
From the truth, from the truth.

Sia Furler is a Phenom. | Reviewer: Brady | 1/1/11

Get the live track off her album Lady Croissant. Good God, I want to cry laugh and just be awed by her perfect voice. This is an awesome blues-derivative song and Zero 7 is underrated, underappreciated.I guess the same can be said for Ms. Furler. I am a 40 year old male rock musician, and one of my great wishes is to meet Ms. Furler and thank her and tell her how brilliant she is.

I love this track and first heard it when I started a relationship with my future hubby. It means so much to me as it descibes how I felt at the time, not wanting to rush into things, but I know straight away that he was the man I loved and wanted to marry.

We have chosen it to be our first dance at our wedding in two years, show you how much it has stuck with us!!

I have always loved Sia and Zero 7. I was first captivated by Destiny and now this. Love it so much, I am trying to learn how to sing the last paragraph/stanza/chorus x repeat(whatever it is) in tune haha.

This is simply one of the most spiritually moving songs i have ever heard, the vocals (by Sia Furler) are soft and moving. It is hard to review Zero 7 without refering to the terms 'chill-out' and the french group 'Air' as these labels are very accurate, and Distractions is no exception to this rule. This is the perfect song for relaxation and i would recommend not only Distractions but also Zero 7's debut LP Simple Things available at

I give it 10 out of 10!

you can't beat the smooth beats in this track, or the emotion in the singer's voice. a must listen-to!
