Pronounced "dim-moo bore-gear", the Dimmuborgir is a large area of unusually shaped lava fields east of Lake Mývatn, on Iceland. The Dimmuborgir area is composed of various caves and rock formations. It would seem that this has been formed from a lava-lake, out of which molten lava flowed and left behind strange formations. The most famous cave being Kirkjan - the Church - high with a large gothic style vault. Dimmu=foggy/dark, Borgir=castle/fortress. Dimmu Borgir is a melodic black metal band hailing from Norway. Shagrath, Silenoz and Tjodalv initiated the band in 1993. Shortly after, Brynjard Tristan joined to play bass, and Stian Aarstad joined for keyboard duties. Dimmu Borgir was born. Dimmu Borgir is in their early stages, they haven't even made much fame outside of Norway. Comparison of the two doesn't exist, which you yourself prefer is an all another story, but that also would depend on your mood. Dimmu and TS is two widely different bands. Twisted sister made the way for heavier rock together with other bands. Without them Rock like this would never even have existed, and Dimmu Borgir would probably be some boyband playing at clubs in Oslo. Be grateful for all good music there is. And to Gothica, please check up on your sources before posting anything like that, Twisted sister made it worldwide with their Burn in Hell song. Dimmu Borgir has barely made it out of the underground rock. As a final note I'd like to say I love this song :p Though. I thought hard about where I heard it before, when I remembered a scene from the first Power Rangers Movie. I looked up the soundtrack on Amazon, and sure enough, I found what I was looking for. The track "Summoning the Ninjetti" contains a nearly identical part, at the same exact time as in this song. Considering the fact that this movie came out in 1995, it is obvious that Dimmu Borgir stole from composer Graeme Revell. Standalone, "Fear and Wonder" is still a great song and unique without 0:40-1:20, but it is still a shame that the band resorted to this instead of composing something entirely original.
