The Force Behind The Power Album Tracklist

Her Best Album of the 90s | Reviewer: Luis Boki | 12/7/13

Diana made a tremendous comeback of sorts internationally in 1991 with her album "The Force Behind the Power" produced by Peter Asher, James Carmichael and Stevie Wonder. The first single, "When You Tell Me That You Love Me" became a smash across Europe, Japan and the Anglospere. Her international label, EMI, insured that it was properly promoted yielding 5 singles, one went to #1, two more Top 10 and 2 more Top 25! Her U.S. label, the once great, Motown, stumbled poorly being completely out of sync with her two years of marketing and promotion. It began a hot streak internationally that lasted until 1994 with the #1 Greatest Hits, "One Woman". She toured extensively across Europe, Asia and the Anglosphere. She even did a massive U.S. tour that was soldout in 85% of the markets despite Motown's embarrassing stumbles. The first single was so strong that it became a hit again in 2005 as a duet with Westlife missing #1 in the U.K. by 120 pcs., but, making #1 in Ireland.
