My Chemical Romance Desert Song Lyrics

Last updated: 06/03/2013 04:58:11 PM

We hold in our hearts the sword and the faith
Swelled up from the rain, clouds move like a wraith
Well after all, we'll lie another day
And through it all, we'll find some other way
To carry on through cartilage and fluid
And did you come to stare or wash away the blood?

Well tonight, well tonight
Will it ever come?
Spend the rest of your days rocking out
Just for the dead
Well tonight
Will it ever come?
I can see you awake anytime, in my head

Did we all fall down?
Did we all fall down?
Did we all fall down?
Did we all fall down?
From the lights to the pavement
From the van to the floor
From backstage to the doctor
From the Earth to the morgue, morgue, morgue, morgue

Well tonight
Will it ever come?
Spend the rest of your days rocking out
Just for the dead
Well tonight
Will it ever come?
I can see you awake anytime in my head

All fall down
Well after all...

R.I.P. My Chemical Romance | Reviewer: Kyra | 6/3/13

This song is truly beautiful. I know it's about Gerard's addictions to alcohol and drugs, but for me, it's a song about making a difference almost. Not just standing there and letting you life just waste away on unimportant things, but changing it. Being strong enough to get a grip on who you are, and make a change for the better. I dunno... There is just so much emotion when he sings this, and it brings tears to my eyes. I love it.
MCRmy, forever.

Reichenbach Song | Reviewer: Anonymous | 12/11/12

Danm the other anon for making my think of Reichenbach Fall. Looks like I'm going to have to make a fan video now. Curses. But seriously, beautiful, beautiful song- so much meaning. I have a recording of when they played it live- I wasn't there, but I found it on youtube. They way everyone sung along, even if they weren't that good at singing. It was truly stunning.

Just a heads up for all you members of the MCRmy that are completely missing the meaning of this song, but just acting like you know and it means a lot to you...
This song was written about Gerards addiction to drugs and alcohol. Its about how it affected him and his life and how it could have caused him to die. yea.

Wow | Reviewer: Closer_To_Chem | 3/24/12

I don't even know what to think. It's so simple but it is so deep. Beautiful lyrics that Gee sings with all his heart. You can feel the intense emotion all through this song. Amazing and beautiful and one of my favourites :)

Good Lord. | Reviewer: Anonymous | 1/15/12

Beautiful song, although it has made me very sad. I was listening to my iPod on Shuffle to get my mind off of The Reichenbach Fall when this came on. "All fall down," huh? Thanks.

Too beautiful for words | Reviewer: Anonymous | 6/13/11

This song is absolutely the most beautiful song I've ever heard. I brings me somewhere that no band/song could ever do. It's beyond tears. I think this song means that you need to do something with your life and not waste it.

"Did you come to stare or wash away the blood?" did you come to stand there or did you come to wash ad fix your wounds?

"Did we all fall down. From the lights to the pavement, from the van to the floor, to backstage to the doctor, from the Earth to the Morge.". Did our lives fall so far down that we can't bring them up again?

"We hold in our hearts the sword and the faith,". Every single person has the strength and faith to turn their life around and start over.

This song is just too beautiful for words. God bless MCR, they are my inspiration and many other's. I hope one day I can see them preform this song live.

Long live MCR and their faithful mcrmy!

Stunning | Reviewer: Destroya | 1/26/11

This song is almost too beautiful for words...It has so much emotion packed into it, and is one of those songs that brings tears to my eyes in a sad, but nevertheless good, way. Absolutely stunning.

this song is amazing :') It's depressing to me, n when i hear it, I don't want to be with ne one else for some reason lol and it makes me relaxed P: and I always get chills when he says from the earth to the morgue :S

wow | Reviewer: Brittany | 6/11/10

The song is great. After hearing this song the 1st time, I listened to it over and over again. It made me cry. Idk why to be exact. Sort of depressing in a way, but very powerful, enough to even get some emotion in it. But it cheers me up too. Always gets me looking in the right light. :0 Same with Demolition Lovers. These 2 songs are what I think are simply the best. c:

Meaning | Reviewer: Anonymous | 4/23/10

This seems to me to be about their shows and the togetherness of all the fallen it creates. That is what mcr seems to be about. "Did we all fall down?...well after all...", we'll just rock out together! "did you come to stare or wash away the blood?" did the audience came just to stare at them, or too wash away the blood of their wounds?
