'Merican EP | Reviewer: Rexisfed | 10/3/2005

It's hard to believe the Descedents have lasted this long, and that they came back yet again after 'Everything Sucks' in 1996. This EP is their first release since then. It consists of only 5 songs (The final track contains two songs). The EP opens with 'Nothing With You', an excellent example of just what the Descendents should be, followed by ''Merican', in which the band also succumbs to anti-American songs (along with all the other hundred million artists that have started doing so, even though half of them don't even feel that way). These first two tracks were released again on the band's following studio album 'Cool To Be You'. The three tracks only found on this EP are 'Here With Me', 'I Quit', and 'It's Alive'. All three of which have the classic Descendents sound and will keep your ears dancing. The entire EP is very solid and well done, and Milo's voice stays clear the whole way through. I would not reccomend this EP as a first choice however. Take Milo Goes To College first.
