In art, music, and life, from the most crucial to the most
mundane, three truly is a magic number. From the Holy
Trinity to the commonly uttered phrase, "the third time is
the charm." From "Master Of Puppets" to "Master Of
Reality."
Demon Hunter is proud to carry on that tradition with "The
Triptych," the explosive followup to "Summer Of Darkness"
and the most important heavy album of the fall.
Middle Ages and Renaissance artists often used "triptychs"
when constructing their alter pieces - a triptych being a
painting or carving with three side-by-side parts, panels
or canvasses, which together (and only together) form a
greater whole. W More...

------ About the song Beheaded performed by Demon Hunter
THIS SONG HAS GOT TO BE AMONG THE BEST DEMON HUNTER HAS! When I hear "Your history is dead DEAD WRONG!" I seem to just want to scream out how much I love listening to it. At first though I thought the intro of it was a little irrotating but then I listened to the rest of the song and now i almost listen to it on a daily basis! Highly recomended for an example to how heavy Demon Hunter can get. This and Ribcage are thier best songs ever. Over all: 10/10

------ About the song The Tide Began To Rise performed by Demon Hunter
I love Demon Hunter. I'm also a Christian. Now, with that being said, even if I didn't believe, I'd still like the song. Songs can be taken in whatever way you want! Honestly any song that might refer to God, if it doesn't clearly say "GOD" in the lyrics, could be about any sort of relationship. This song could be about leaving a loved one, drug abuse, or just realizing you're not the person you want to be or once were. I was listening to this song tonight, because I needed something that reminded me, that things can be bad, but eventually, they seem to turn out okay. The group is Christian, and they do express their beliefs in their music. But, so do a lot of other Christian bands and they don't ALWAYS write every single song around God. Most of the time it just means that there isn't much or any cursing in their music, and that those are their personal beliefs. It's not like if you go to one of their shows they try to put you all in a room and pound the bible into your skulls. Let's be realistic please. I guess the point is, it doesn't matter who you are, or what you believe. Music is an amazing way to express who you are, and an even better way to UNITE people with differences by giving them a common interest.
*Side note: To all of you Christians saying people HAVE to believe: Stop it. People can believe whatever they want. It's not your job to chastise them about their lives. If they don't believe, that is their own choice. No one likes people getting into their personal business, so it's rude of you to try to push your beliefs on them. However, if someone asks you about your beliefs, go ahead and tell them. Either way, it's their choice as to whether or not they'll believe, and the only ones who'll ever really know are them and God, so it's none of your concern.*
So really, if you want to debate theology, find a religious forum to do so. Or even better, just make peace with who you are, and let others do the same.

------ About the song One Thousand Apologies performed by Demon Hunter
I think this song suits exactly what happened to me. The guy screwed up and hurt someone.
My boyfriend cheated on me and then i found out from someone else and he had to tell me what he did. He regrets it..I know he didn't wanna hurt me but thats what happens when people get wasted, they do stupid shit and they hurt people they care about.

It's God telling those who believe that Dark Reign is all a cover placed over your eyes to blind you by those who deceive. This song is a song of hope to those who are going through a dark patch in their lives and to help show them what is really happening! God knows! Just seek him, and you will find!

for my 1st christian band, i think its by far the best band ive ever heard. im not 2 crazy about the deep screaming in songs, but these guys dont scream super heavy in every song. fading away is also my favorite song, with Thorns and Deteriorate. its nice to see that even in the darker side on music we can find some christians shining teir light in their.

Why does everybody have to complain about everyone's opinions? If you believe in God that's great, I do too.
If you don't, good for you.
Please, stop stirring up a controversy over religion. I'm sure the Band doesn't like people arguing over silly things like this, just enjoy their talent.
Everybody has a reason to voice their opinion, but starting arguments over it is pointless and very immature.

i am a christian and all these non believers can say what they gotta say to god one day..and fer all ya haters of god..u comin down the wrong path cuz there is a hell and a heaven!
god deserves more than ur words but for all ya lovers god good job, keep it up!
I give this song a 4/5 and the band a 4/5 as well. This is an amazing band, and i love how they keep a heavy sound with clean worship lyrics. I love metal, but don't like the nasty lyrics of most songs. With Demon Hunter, i can listen to the kind of music i like without worrying if gods unhappy with what i'm listening to.
Look ppl as christians we dont need do be calling ppl satans because we were once that ourselves and we dont need to call them idiots because we were all once lost another thing is we dont need to diss on ppl for their believes because you dont like it yourself. In my opinion the authors main point to the lyrics is what they want and all though it is great to use that and interpret it as so, it is also at the digretion of the listener to give it point to their lives and have it mean something to them. Yes iam a christian and yes i believe demon hunter is a christian group but i know im not perfect and try my hardest not to be a hypocrite, i know i judge sometimes but that isnt what God wants. As Christians we need to be the one to keep the peace and the last guy was right interpret the song as you like and enjoy the music, just be glad they have clean hardcore music and your not left out

So far the comments I have seen by christians have been "I love God, or Christ is great!" We aren't marching on your territory atheists, or muslims, or watever you are. We're happy people and were just glad we've found the thruth in life. If you have actually read the comments about five people have already said "Were not forcing you to belive."
I know my comment will most likely be overead, but to my fellow believers, and to only my fellow belivers I say, It is absolutely great to converse with you all, and I am proud to know that Demon Hunter seems strong in their faith. It would be best if you excluded yourself from this conversation to save yourself from disgruntling words. Many know not of what they say, and have merely been hurt by a case of false christianity. Pray for them my family, and to all of you belivers and non believers, may God bless.

I love the aggressive attitude of this song. It's passionate and heartfelt but packs a punch. Kind of reminds me of the early martyrs who rejoiced in the face of persecution. They praised God while being ripped apart by lions! Death had no reign.

I dont see people talking about how some priests scream in church and others dont. if thats ok why cant there be a band that screams about the lord musically while others dont. I mean its ur own opinion but thats what i think

i did not even realize that demon was a christian band until I read the comments. I just like their music. about how a song is interpreted, It is like a poem, for that all lyrics are if you remove the music. it means something different to everyone and some times something different each time you hear it. If it is saying something you don't like then look at yourself because that is what you are looking for.

------ About the song Not Ready to Die performed by Demon Hunter
I like their music, I really do. But their christian believes quite simply detract from them as people. It is quite demonstratably ridiculous to believe in the bible, or that Jesus was some kind of super hero. The bible attracts people whose real motives for belieivng what they believe run far darker than the underlying motivations of agnosticism or atheism (I am agnostic, I accept my ignorance with grace).
Honestly I'll listen to their music like I would bang a fat girl, I'll get what I want out of it, but I couldn't less for the people behind it. So.....Dance monkey's dance, as a child of satan I find it wickedly exciting listening to demon hunter. :0p

if people are offended by the title it is not to insult anybody but i thought it looks funny :P so... the song is great alot of people are fighting about believe i don't believe in a god, i was 8 years on a catholic school, and still don't believe in god. although i liked some of the stories from the old testament. but i do believe that there is life after death. ooh yeah and people that say that satanic bands are bad and stuff you must know that satanism is going about live your life as you want, and it does'nt say that there is a god or devil. and people please stp fighting about believe it does'nt matter what you beleive in. just enjoy the music.
i'm sorry if i wrote some thing wrong i'm not english ;)

I love this song and this band. The stereotype of Christian bands being lame keeps getting shattered over and over again. It doesn't matter if you sing "Praise God" or "Hail satan", ultimately, the question is, does it rock? Does the band have talent? Demon Hunter is leaps and bounds ahead of most metal bands, Christian or otherwise. The bottom line is they are an awesome band with an awesome message. 5 out of 5 stars.
