In art, music, and life, from the most crucial to the most
mundane, three truly is a magic number. From the Holy
Trinity to the commonly uttered phrase, "the third time is
the charm." From "Master Of Puppets" to "Master Of
Reality."
Demon Hunter is proud to carry on that tradition with "The
Triptych," the explosive followup to "Summer Of Darkness"
and the most important heavy album of the fall.

Amazing song, amazing band! | Reviewer: Anonymous
------ About the song Fading Away performed by Demon HunterI am definitely not the most religious person around, and I listen to every sub genre of metal, whether it has Christian or Satanic imagery, or anywhere in between, but I love it that these guys are Christian yet they really know how to make some good music! I try to listen to as much Christian music as possible (because I am Christian) but most of the stuff I hear sounds the same, or at least seems to. These guys actually sound different and have a fresh sound. Fading Away was the first song I ever heard by them, and it's my favorite Christian metal song by far!

------ About the song The Science Of Lies performed by Demon Hunterthe song is about money, not atheism.. fraudulent birth refers to the creation money and the massive class distinction that follows 'give us your money and we'll open our gullible eyes' that is the mindset all people have when they approach money because they are simply fighting for scraps in the grand scheme of things and reinforcing this self gratifying culture we live in (not slandering, just stating because we're all guilty of it).
my thoughts of what the song meant. | Reviewer: 911child
------ About the song Fire To My Soul performed by Demon HunterThis song to me is how God showed himself to humanity and some of us changed while others decided to ignore God, and him basically like saying "Look i am here." and those who dont listen are lile "LALALA cant hear you." Like this lyrics 'Why does it falter? We built it all ourselves' is humanity not understanding why when they made something that wasnt based with God started to crumble.

------ About the song The Tide Began To Rise performed by Demon HunterIt is great to see Demon Hunter delivering a great message through their music. I have heard lots of Christian bashing as well as people claiming to be in Christ bashing others. Religion aside I think we have a obligation to treat others the same way we want to be treated and I think if we did the world would be better for it. On a side note being a Christian I put what God wants for me above anything this world wants for me. That is how I live my life and it hasn't failed me yet.

------ About the song Relentless Intolerance performed by Demon HunterI have read the lyrics and have listened to the song performed by the band. I have read these reviews. I am sorry that Christina has been treated with intolerance, but I am sure that story happens many times. I agree with what Olivia wrote and Nick too, but here's my wondering....are you putting words in the writer's mouth? As I read the lyrics, I wonder if the band means that they are intolerant of what they consider the 'traditional' church. The 'they' statements seem to point to those who would not agree with what the 'we'(s) tolerate. I think the intolerance is toward what Christianity has been for centuries. I have no idea if this is their intent since I don't know what the lyric writer was thinking. Nick and Olivia make great points about not tolerating the world's ways and the decay of our culture. I agree wholeheartedly. There is a movement in Christianity today though that is based in rebellion - rebellion against what they would consider 'the establishment'. I have heard sermons by those in this rebellion movement that profess that they are the stronger brother and someone like me the weaker, if they allow for what they claim are preference issues and not sin issues. I will agree that we can disagree if it truly is a preference issue and not a black and white sin issue, but I don't agree that we get to do whatever we want while claiming it to be either God's will or allowed since Paul wrote that all things are permissible if not profitable. My caution is this: did Jesus die so I can have the liberty to indulge my desires? so I can look like the crowd (in and out of the church)? As someone once said, I can make a better case for holiness than for happiness from Scripture. Just because previous generations did something doesn't make it out of date, old fashioned, or legalism. Be careful that you don't use your liberty as a license for sin. Anything that isn't done in faith (based on God's word) is sin.
So, while I don't know if the lyrics are pointing out intolerance against the world's sinful ways - which is a good thing - or if it is pointing out intolerance against traditional Christianity - which might be bad and it is what I think the lyrics are suggesting. I am asking you to reread the lyrics with that concern in mind. I agree with you that we are to not be like the world. What I don't agree with is that the lyrics are professing that, possibly. I think this is a song about rebelling against the older generations within the church and that this band, in its final phrase of lyrics, is saying they look on those with scorn. This band might be saying that you are to be intolerant of those who are 'narrow minded', 'lying', 'to be despised', etc. and that those people are the church. If I am right, this is very disturbing to me. If you, Olivia and Nick, are right then I am glad, but still the overall message is negative (look with scorn) and the sound of the main voice is not uplifting at all.
I am reminded of Rehoboam, Solomon's son, who had an issue he needed to decide upon. He went to two different sets of advisers. One set was men who had advised his father. Remember Solomon was the wisest man on earth, wrote the Proverbs, and judged cases they would have seen first hand with great wisdom. And they themselves were older and hopefully, wiser as well. The other set of advisers were Rehoboam's contemporaries and buddies. He listened to this younger set who empowered him to use his position as king to indulge himself and themselves. It led to the division of the kingdom. Rebellion is never the way of God. He has to oppose it. He sees rebellion just like the sin of divination. We all have to examine our hearts constantly for ways we might be rebelling against human authority and God ultimately.
Just wondering... not sure.... hoping to share some caution.

------ About the song The Tide Began To Rise performed by Demon HunterNo reason to end up with an argument when comments are meant for review of the song. No need to be harsh against a person's comment when we all live in the same flesh, skin and bone. Read a comment and create your own. Don't deny what someone said about Jesus. Don't lack sense and manners. The song has meaning in various ways people can define in their own mind. Demon Hunter remains awesome and will. They might lyric negative things but to drag you into positive thinking if you are able to find that which is positive and leads you to Jesus if you believe in him. Thinking of the Bible as a mistake is a mistake thinking about it. ''The truth will set you free.''

------ About the song Snap Your Fingers, Snap Your Neck performed by Demon HunterPersonally, I agree somewhat with Reviewer "C"
Snap your fingers, You snap your neck, I believe that means mostly that if you snap your fingers (Treating someone unjustly (if that's even a word)you'll end up killing yourself in the process) you snap you neck, The good life is basicly the American Dream like "C" Said. That's just my opinion!

------ About the song The Tide Began To Rise performed by Demon HunterI wish I'd found this album years ago. I've had Storm the Gates of Hell and The World is a Thorn for a long time now, but I only just found this album, and this song has quickly become one of my favorite Demon Hunter songs.
Wait, were people whining and arguing about religion here? Lol. Shut the f*** up and just listen to the music.
The Digression of Humanity | Reviewer: Mike Vargas
------ About the song The Science Of Lies performed by Demon HunterI believe in the first few lines Demon Hunter is commenting on the fact that we all selfishly serve money, Five dollar movies, thirty dollar cell phone plans, and no one to care about the starving children above their own fun. The rest of the song I believe is referring to Atheism and the lie that it is. I love demon hunter and I believe that their songs are theologically deeper than any other band I have ever heard.
