Deep Purple Lyrics

The Montreux Jazz Festival, Royal Albert Hall, Melbourne
Entertainment Centre, a Blizzard somewhere in the Alps,
Tokyo, Rio, Moscow’s Olympic Hall, Cape Town, Bangalore, La
Paz, Toronto and Kansas City.

What do they have in common? They are just a few of the
places where you could have seen a Deep Purple show over
the last couple of years. Simply reading the itineraries
gives you an idea of how this band operates on a truly
international level.

Deep Purple is not a conformist group. There never was, nor
ever will be, any fawning to More...

------ About the song Hush performed by Deep Purple

On the studio version, first line of the second verse, it sounds to me like "She's got love and I can't wait to see it", thought on live versions I hear "like quicksand" as it is posted here, so it's something that should be confirmed.

------ About the song Strange Kind of Woman performed by Deep Purple

Reminds me of this girl, "Jancy," who I loved but never gave it back. Deep Purple, Rad band. Everyone should check out the California jam tape of Rare earth, black sabbath, Emerson lake and Palmer too, deep purple lit the stage on fire, check it out!

The story of real soldier of fortune | Reviewer: joe gondaloe
------ About the song Soldier of fortune performed by Deep Purple

I heard from my father, that this song based on the true story of Deep Purple private guard. A man who had retire from mercenaries legion. He has many experience in war, chaos, and rescue operation. But, he has problems with love. He can't express his true love to his girlfriend .. Probably he never express it.

Sorry about my English.

The Best | Reviewer: Joe
------ About the song My Woman From Tokyo performed by Deep Purple

To me this song is one of the best, if not thee best of the so called classic rock era, 68 thru 74? Ian Gillan's voice is in top form and he was never really given props for being a great vocalist. I guess maybe you could say that the whole band was never given it's due, Particularly this lineup. The drumming of the other Ian in the band, Ian Paice is almost mesmerizing. Listen to the way he uses the cymbals at the start and during the haunting sounding bridge which sends you into an eastern dream and then with a sudden explosion of Blackmore's guitar and Lord's organ takes you back into the neon gloom. I assume it is also Jon Lord who is playing the piano during the closing refrains. Fantastic song that sounds agood today as it did in 1973.

Smoke On The Water | Reviewer: Natalia
------ About the song Smoke on the Water performed by Deep Purple

I like Deep Purple as a music group, but I don't like this song. I love Child In Time, Soldier Of Fortune.. I like Space Truckin', Black Night... But I don't like Smoke On The Water. I do not know why. But I don't like it.

Emotional | Reviewer: Ledpurple
------ About the song Help performed by Deep Purple

This is a far more emotional sung version of help then the one the beatles recorded. unfortunatly this version is very unknown by the most of the big public even the most Purple fans don't know of it's existence what's realy a shame because it's a fantastic version of the song, sung by Rod Evans then the lead singer of Deep Purple mark 1.

Steve Morse Rocks!! | Reviewer: The Pseudonym Ninja
------ About the song Smoke on the Water performed by Deep Purple

This is a great song, and all true. Can you believe they composed and recorded the song at the last minute and it became a classic hit? That, my children, is how awesome songs are written. (You should all read the story of how Queen's 'Crazy Little Thing Called Love' came to be. It's quite funny. Queen <3)
