George Harrison Deep Blue Lyrics

Last updated: 11/14/2012 02:02:15 PM

When sunshine is not enough
To make me feel bright
It's got me suffering in the darkness
That's so easy come by on the road-side
Of one loong life-time

It's got me deep blue
You know I'm deep blue

When you stand there, watch tired bodies
Full of sickness and pain
To show you just how helpless you really are
When you get down to the truth
It hurts me

It's got me deep blue
You know I'm deep blue

When I think of the life I'm living
Pray God help me; give me your light
So I can love you and understand
This repetition that keeps me here
Feeling deep blue

It's got me deep blue
You know I'm deep blue

Country hell | Reviewer: Erik | 11/14/12

Weird thing made of country music and George's pain caused by his mother's death. She was very important for George and he loved her very much. She once helped him even with writing a song (The Beatles' Piggies)! And she bought him his first guitar. What a great woman, I think, she was! So is a song Deep Blue. The lyrics are moving through a heart. No talking about mother or family, just a description of sad feelings.
