Out on the road there are fireflies circling
Deep in the woods, where the lost souls hide
Over the hill there are men returning
Trying to find some peace of mind
Sleep my child <i>[4x]
Under the fog there are shadows moving
Don't be afraid, hold my hand
Into the dark there are eyelids closing
Buried alive in the shifting sands
Sleep my child <i>[4x]
Speak to me now and the world will crumble
Open a door and the moon will fall
All of your life all your memories
Go to your dreams, forget it all
Sleep my child <i>[4x]

Review about Death Whispered A Lullaby amazin.. | Reviewer: raven | 9/22/2008
Opeth is a truely talented band and this song is one of the many amazing songs, the grand conjuration, bleak, harvest, blackwater park, along with this song, are just a few of their amazing songs. Some songs are harder to get into than others but, if you just sit and listen, really listen, it'll be even more amazing.
For one of the most original death metal bands ever to come out with a cd like damnation is incredible. this whole cd is very solid as are all the others.this album has introduced so many "non-metal" fans to a very metal band and really changed the way they perceive heavy/death/black metal.go opeth.
If every song Opeth released was this good, i'd be a fan. The entire cd is a good listen with some highlights, mainly Death Whispered a Lullaby. There are some dull fairly average moments also, which brings the entire cd down a notch. I quite enjoy putting this on as a dinner cd with guest or some thing nice to listen on sunday. I have found that chicks like this cd and this track in particular.
