Jasey Rae Lyrics
Artist(Band):All Time Low
The lights out,
I still hear the rain,
These images that fill my head,
Now keep my fingers from making mistakes,
Tell my voice what it takes,
To speak up,
Speak up,
and keep my conscience clean when I wake.
Don't make this easy,
I want you to mean it,
Jasey. (say you mean it)
You're dressed to kill,
I'm calling you out, (don't waste your time on me)
Now there's an aching in my back;
a stabbing pain that says I lack,
the common sense and confidence,
to bring an end to promises,
that I make in times of desperate conversation,
hoping my night could be better than theirs in the end.
Just say when.
Don't make this easy,
I want you to mean it,
Jasey. (say you mean it)
You're dressed to kill,
I'm calling you out, (don't waste your time on me)
I've never told a lie,
and that makes me a liar,
I've never made a bet,
but we gamble with desire,
I've never lit a match,
with intent to start a fire,
but recently the flames,
are getting out of control.
Call me a name,
Kill me with words,
Forget about me,
It's what I deserve,
I was your chance,
to get out of this town,
but I ditched the car,
and left you to,
Wait outside,
I hope the air will serve to remind you,
that my heart is as cold as the clouds of your breath,
and my words are as timed as the beating in my chest.

Review about Jasey Rae
Jasey. | Reviewer: Stef | 8/22/2008Jasey is actually a real girl that he knows. I talked to him at his show tonight. It's not about a one night stand, it was a girl he was dating in highschool and he ended up hurting her when he didn't mean too.
Wow, | Reviewer: Alaina | 8/12/2008
I didn't know that that was the reason he made this song.
& I didn't know about ATL until I heard their song "Dear Maria, Count Me In".
But then I heard their song "The Girl's A Straight-Up Hustler", then I wanted to listen to more of their songs..
I read the comments on Youtube for the music video to the song "The Girl's A Straight-Up Hustler". Everybody was talking about how all the old fans were being pushed to the back, and how they used to be their favorite 'back pocket band', what ever that means. & How they knew they would make it this big, and that they've come very far.. So I'm guessing that they used to be one of those bands that started out at their high school...?
Does anyone know?
Please respond. =]
I love All Time Low, not just for their looks, but because of their music, but.. the do have good looks. =]

one night stand? | Reviewer: Lexi | 8/7/2008
so, i was watching this song being played by alex on youtube, acoustic, and you can really feel the emotions behind his voice when he's singing.
anyways, though, people were saying that her wrote this song because of a one night stand.
apparently, the lead singer alex had a one night stand with a girl named jasey, and they were both really drunk. the next morning he left or something, without saying goodbye, and they said that she wanted more than just a one night thing, whereas he didn't. and then he wrote this song.
but some parts of the lyrics make it obvious that there were problems involving a girl.
Pretty much from "Call me a name," onwards.
But I think it's sweet that he actually felt bad about leaving her, and would go so far as to write a song about her, when most other guys wouldn't care at all. :}
He's an adorable guy, that Alex.
My Words Are As Timed As The Beating In My Chest. | Reviewer: Anonymous | 7/21/2008
This is my favourite acoustic song ever. I agree with all the above, it's good original, but the acoustic version brings it out so much more. Almost anyone could relate to it's meaning. All Time Low is for sure going to make it big. Especially with their acoustic versions!

IT SOUNDS FANTASTIC ON ACOUSTIC BUT, i think it starts to sound just soo soo real from the time he says i've never told a lie to the very end. its somewhat bitter (which i like) it sounds like he was hurt. well alll around BEST/FAVORITE SONG EVER.

All Time Low is definately going to be big. & I love seeing them progress more and more.
& this song is so addicting, I can't stop singing it. & as above, I love the acoustic version too. I don't know why but this song makes me chill, in a good way. It's way too amazing.

Growing on me... | Reviewer: Jim | 11/18/2007
I produced a music video for these guys in 2005, but then didn't give them a second thought. Then I posted the vid on Youtube and got over 80,000 hits. So I listened to their albums - all of them. These guys are really, really talented... and likely destined for greatness.
