Dawn Of Victory Lyrics - Rhapsody

Review The Song (6)

Fire is raging on the battlefield
while Arwald is fighting the war of the kings
The army of Dargor, the thunder, the storm...
so people are calling the brave and his sword
No time left to save the wise throne!

Shades of a past not so far to forget...
the rise of the demons from their bloody Hell!
So come mighty warrior to light the lost hope
for Tharos the dragon and your cosmic soul...
Now handle your emerald sword!

For Ancelot
the ancient cross of war
for the holy town of gods
Gloria, gloria perpetua
in this dawn of victory

The ride of the dead and their practice of pain
is pounding in him as a terrific quake
You're closer and closer now follow their smell
with your holy armour the steel in your hand
Fly angel of bloody revenge!

For Ancelot
the ancient cross of war
for the holy town of gods
Gloria, gloria perpetua
in this dawn of victory

Tragic and furious the clash of the steel of the gods
and so magic the power, the sword in his valorous hands
Oceans of fire are blasting the throne of the demons
and from distant red skies the thunders are calling his name
the name of the master of pain!

For Ancelot
the ancient cross of war
for the holy town of gods
Gloria, gloria perpetua
in this dawn of victory
Gloria, gloria perpetua
in this dawn of victory

They are not gods of any Mythology. This statement is incorrect of course because the question is, who defines what Mythology is? A book may also have it's Mythology so can a story or anything, alas this is no form of any know Religion and are not worshiped in any way by humans. Who knows, you could be the first to open the church of the "Emerald Sword" in which the priest steps on to the altar with an electric guitar and after playing a song from Rhapsody (The lyrics being in the song book) the actual mass begins in which he talks about the Gods which you can give faces and characteristics to.

It's a saga | Reviewer: someone | 5/11/09

All the Rhapsody of Fire (or only Rhapsody, if you want) discograpy are about epic tales. There are two sagas. The first is Emerald Sword, and i don't remember the second one. It's like a musical. (Sorry about my english, it really sucks)

Emerald sword saga is right.

Dawn of victory is the turning point in the tragedies. The places and names are all part of the fantasy story that stretches across 5 albums.

It's a story. | Reviewer: Anonymous | 5/28/07

This band told some kind of mythological story through 5 albums they released from 1997-2006 i think. The names in this song are all the names of the charachters from the story. Go to wikipedia and type in "Emerald Sword Saga".

about that | Reviewer: anonymus | 5/15/07

i belive they are not, but if they are they must be from ancient italy

Does anyone know if the names of the gods used in the song are actual entities in mythology?
