The House We Were Calling a Home! | Reviewer: Jessie~~
------ About the album Rides Again performed by David Allan Coe

I remember the day we drove up to the house~~the man was still living in it~~David said yes ~~and we moved it that very day!It was a beautiful home~~lots of big windows~~a beautiful pool with a high brick fence~~ my bedroom was mine and I did not share it with David~~ I was young and I knew it was not meant for me to stay~~David said he loved me and I think he did in some way~~but even though I was young I knew that I was not being treated the way I wanted and needed to be treated! I always corrected David about his language~~he used cruse words a lot and I felt it inappropriate when in my presence! He found me funny the way I would always call him on it! It felt like David's need for me was because I always had his best interest on my mind and wanted him to present himself as a respectable man! He would always listen to me when I had something to say!
I would always question him~~WHY~~he thought a certain way or~~WHY~~he felt a certain way about something~~I think I kept his mind wondering all the time! I was 18 he was 38~~ That was almost 40 years ago! And sometimes it feels like yesterday!

David Allan coe is the best song writer bar none. His album David Allan coe rides again is so deep that it will make you cry. It's a tradgady that he was never played on air waves with the likes of johnny cash and merle hagard.
