This album focuses on the darker side of Dave Matthews Band's wide spectrum of styles. The songs are rich with emotion and raw feeling. Carter's drum beats are very heavy at times and become complemented by Boyd's talent violin-playing... the intro to track 7, "the stone", is a solo by Boyd that sets the basic mood for the entire album. It's an excellent collection of Dave Matthews' music. Personally, it's my favorite album that they've put out, followed closely by Crash. I'd strongly recommend it to anyone who appreciates heartfelt lyrics and the perfect music to match them.
