I even got part of it tattooed onto the back on my neck because it spoke so much to me. I always imagined that this song was about a pirate on the ocean. To me, the video explains how life is, where we live and die and how we revolve around the world. Also, how we look at life blindly. How we don't pay attention to it and stop and listen to the voices of the people who are suffering. I do agree that some of these songs are part of the bible and how yeah the sea will give up her dead, but me personally I don't follow a certain religion, I just believe that we need to live life, or what is the remaining. They say the revelation is coming or that the world will come to an end, but we really don't know. To me, the message of this song is that we should stop and listen to the different voices and sounds. To sit and wonder why do we live so happily when the world is based on tragedy and suffering. Yet, we remain to live it and to deal with things that we don't deserve. But "Red Sky" was my fav song on Vheissu besides "Music Box" and "Of Dust and Nation." It is epic. But imagery aside, hands down, one of my new favorite form this yet again stunning band and their bodacious new sound. Two thumbs up.
