Daddy Lyrics - Korn

Review The Song (65)

Mother, please forgive me. I just had to get out all my pain and suffering.
Now that I am done, remember I will always love you; I'm your son.

Little child looking so pretty
come out and play, I'll be your Daddy
Innocent child looking so sweet
I'll rape your mind and on your flesh I'll eat

You raped, I feel dirty
It hurt as a child
Tied down, "That's a good boy."
And fuck your own child
I scream, no-one hears me
It hurt, I'm not a liar
My God, I saw you watchin'
Mommy, why?? Your own child...

Little child, looking so pretty,
come out and play, I'll be your Daddy

You raped, I feel dirty
It hurt as a child
Tied down, "That's a good boy."
And fuck your own child
I scream, no-one hears me
It hurt, I'm not a liar
My God, I saw you watchin'
Mommy, why???

It's alright

You raped, I feel dirty (aaaaaaaaahhhh....)
It hurt as a child
Tied down, "That's a good boy." (aaaaaaaaahhhh....)
And fuck your own child
I rape, no-one hears me (aaaaaaaaahhhh....)
It hurt as a child
Tied down, no-one hit me (aaaaaaaaahhhh....)
And raped your own child
I sit, no-one hears me (aaaaaaaaahhhh....)
It hurt as a child
Tied down, "That's a good boy" (aaaaaaaaahhhh....)
And fucked your own child
I scream, no-one hears me (aaaaaaaaahhhh....)
It hurt as a child
Tied down, no-one hears me (aaaaaaaaahhhh....)
Mommy why?? your own child...

"I didn't touch you there."
Mommy said she didn't care.
"I didn't touch you there."
That's why Mommy stopped and stared.

Little child looking so sweet
I'll rape your mind and on your flesh I'll eat

You raped, I feel dirty
It hurt as a child
Tied down, "That's a good boy."
And fuck your own child
I scream, no-one hears me
It hurt, I’m not a liar
My God, I saw you watchin'
Mommy, why?? Your own child...

[almost can't hear normal words]
You raped, I feel dirty
It hurt, I'm not a liar
My God, I saw you watchin'
Tell me why?? your own child...
I scream, no-one hears me
It hurt, I’m not a liar
My God, I saw you watchin'
Mommy, why?? your own child...
You raped, I feel dirty
It hurt, I'm not a liar
My God, I saw you watchin'
Mommy why?? Your own child...
I scream, no-one hears me
It hurt, I'm not a liar
My God, I saw you watchin'
Mommy why???

[Crying with frustration]
Motherfucker
Fuck!!
Fucking bitch
I fucking hate you
Fuck you
Motherfucker
I fucking hate you
Fuck you
Bitch
You fucking ruin my life
You fucked...
Fucking bitch
I hate you
I fucking hate you
Fuck you...

[Crying Continues]

[Woman begins to sing]

[Music starts again]

[Jon Leaves The Booth]

what happened to johnathan davis | Reviewer: asshole | 11/2/12

i think what happened to johnathan davis was bad,but just because his parents didn't believe him docent mean
He has to have a little bitch fit over it,especially back in the seventys and eighties cuz stuff like that did,nt happen as much as it does today.

the no bullshit real story of the song | Reviewer: Ryan | 5/2/12

this song is not about either of johns parents rapping him its about his old baby sitter and family friend and when he went home and told his parents they diddnt believe him and just try to act like it never happened thats why he says 'it hurt im not a liar, mommy why your own child' because she believed the friend over him her own child. and jonathan definatly wrote the song he put just pur emotion and feeling into this song so much he broke down in the studio recording it but it sounded so badass that they left it in

Idiots | Reviewer: Anonymous | 9/12/11

So, a lot of you are saying this song is about Jonathan Davis's father molesting him. It was his neighbor, which was a female. The song is about him being molested by the neighbor and when he told his parents they did not believe him.
Then there are others of you that are saying that Dennis Skinn wrote the whole song. Dennis Skinn was in a former band called Sexart, which also had, Jonathan Davis and Head in it. They broke up and then Korn was formed. Dennis Skinn helped produce and write songs. Two songs to be exact. Blind and Daddy. This does not mean that he wrote the whole song by himself and Jonathan Davis did not go through what the song states. This means that Jonathan Davis had an idea to write about it, and Dennis helped create the lyrics for this song. Sometimes it takes more than one person to make the perfect song.

I can relate | Reviewer: Nicholson | 6/15/11

I can definitely relate to this song. I used to rape my son until he screamed so much the neighbors called the police! hahaha jk I can't relate to this song. This song could ve been better with a little more effort from the musicians.

Emotional Song | Reviewer: Cammy | 4/27/11

This song has to be the most emotional song Korn has ever written—that I've heard anyway. Does anyone know what the woman is singing at the end? It's a nice lullaby.
I listened to this song on repeat & fell asleep & I had nightmares. It was like I was the little child telling my story. Like my life was the song.
Note to self: don't listen to this song while going to sleep unless you're not very sensitive to being scared or sensitive to having nightmares; which I am.

Korn daddy info | Reviewer: Anonymous | 9/28/10

This is 1 of my fav songs by korn its about how jon was raped by his step mam and he was ignored when he told his dad what was goin on i think most korn songs are about what happened with his step mam

Story about daddy | Reviewer: Anonymous | 3/8/10

The song "Daddy" caused many to assume Rick Davis (Jonathan's father) had raped his son. It's a source of embarrassment for him, though his son has gone on the record in many interviews saying it was written about a family friend who sexually abused him. When a 12-year-old Jonathan tried to turn to his family, he said, they ignored him. (Neither Jonathan nor Rick will say who the person was, though both say it was a woman.)

Why?? | Reviewer: Anonymous | 3/5/10

I feel so sorry for Jonathan. The very first time I listened to this song, I was shocked. I feel so bad for him. Things like this stick with someone forever, no matter how old the get. It's an image permanantlly burned into their mind.

relate n a way | Reviewer: chey | 1/24/10

okay this song is really emotional to a lot of ppl like me. I wasn't raped in any way, but i almost was by a man that said he was my father (but he wasn't)& the woman i told ignored me. So ths song can make a lot of sense if you really listen to it.

Raped ........ | Reviewer: Shits Happens | 1/24/10

seens the name of the song is Daddy he dont need to say daddy becoz we know now that he got raped by his dad and u people saying his step mother ..
see this
My God, I saw you watchin'
Mommy, why?? Your own child...

Mommy why are u watching? it would be easy that his not her flesh and blood son so... she dont care what his own blood and flesh father do... what do u think? wouldnt be right one?? and shits happen in this life there is freaks everywhere i know many thing happened in this life which is likly story and i got some badass story of my own but i would never share it in a lyric or a song coz i believe thats Days Goes By and u forget what happens and ur been ready for a new day that for every doomed in this life like me i learned this to get out of my dooms days never watch back and move for word and run from the past...

FYI other commenters | Reviewer: Anonymous | 12/7/09

Just so you all know Jon didnt write this song a perseon named Dennis Shinn did. Lil known fact i know but its true Just google that name along with Korn and you will see. I just hate it when ppl give cred to the wrong person....I see you guys type out that Korn has lost thier touch well that guy I mentioned before wrote most (if not all) of thier first album so mayeb thats why they have lost it in a sense.

Daddy, KoRns eternal truth | Reviewer: Emoth | 12/6/09

I liked this song because.....I can relate to it, and that's what a song should do.

When I first heard it......I was kinda in shock,
but uh, after I REALLY listened to the lyrics, what he was saying, I realised, his father hadn't RAPED him as I originally thought, rather,
he was being sexually harassed, and he tried to tell his mother.......but she wouldn't listen.

That's why I enjoy it.
I hope you enjoy it......or can relate to it too.
like me.
Thanks

so I barely heard this song a few days ago. n yeah it makes me sad because I can relate. even though no song can actually be written about being raped by your parents that can describe every feeling that a child feels. this is such a wonderful song filled of much emotion and intensity.

to jonathon | Reviewer: alqantarah | 9/15/09

why never he sang this song in live?
I think that you mistake, in fact the songs of the Korn are changed from when Jon has become father and I think that he has forgiven his father.... he wasn't molested by his father, but from a friend of his father and both parents haven't believed in him. There are fortunately people that overcome their traumas and they can be normal. Unfortunately, artistically, when there is no more pain, there is no more art. The last Korn songs artistically aren't comparable to the first, but for me they will be always my music band that I love.

Amazing Song | Reviewer: Jonathon | 9/3/09

The Reason Jonathon Davis Wrote This Song Is Not Because He Himself Was Molested Or Anything Like That He Is Writing It As A POV SOng He Is Writing And Siging The Song As If He Was Looking Thru There Eye's Not Because It Happened To Him
Alot Of People Say He Says "Mommy Why" In The Song And Your Right He Does Say That but he says it because the mother does nothing to stop it althou it is his own child
i think Jonathon Davis and the rest of Korn is amazing at writing music and bringing it to life to the extent that people actually can feel the pain he is singing about and bringing to our ears... as for the crying at the end of the song it was over acted he was crying at the end of the song but morst of it you can tell if you listen carefully is looped

all in all this song is amazing and so is korn i have liked every album so far hopefully they dont ever lose there sound or style..

if anyone needs any korn music i have it all hit me up and i will be more then willing to share it with you or any other music i have as well
