Daddy's Little Girl Lyrics - Michael Buble
Review The Song (7)
Words & Music by Boby Burke & Horace Gerlach
Recorded by The Mills Brothers, 1950
You’re the end of the rainbow, my pot of gold.
You're daddy's little girl, to have and hold.
A precious gem is what you are;
You're mommy's bright and shining star.
You’re the spirit of Christmas, the star on our tree.
You’re the Easter Bunny to Mommy and me.
You’re sugar, you're spice, and you're everything nice
And You’re Daddy’s Little Girl
You’re a treasure I cherish, all sparkling and bright.
You were touched by Holy and beautiful light;
Like the angels who sing, a heavenly thing;
And you’re Daddy’s Little Girl

Daddys little girl | Reviewer: Sue | 3/13/14
My father used to sing this to me when I was a little girl and always reduced me to tears.
He has passed away now and unfortunately we were not on good terms in my adult life . Such is life.
However, I remember this song and happier times which is important to me to remember. Not all of the sad and nasty times.

In 1950 when I was 8 years old, I would sit on my daddys knee and sing this. I have sung it ever since and never heard anyone else. So I am going to listen and cry happily. Such a beautiful song that brings basckwonderful memories. I never thought I would hear it again, especially by a 'modern' singer. Thank you.

I am now 66 yrs of age.
When I was a baby and a small child, my Daddy used to lull me to sleep, singing this song.
I have since done the same to my son, my granddaughter, and now my sister sings it to her grandson.
The words are beautiful, with such treasured memories
OMG A nervous wreck. | Reviewer: Sue | 10/6/07
My lovely daughter wanted to see Michael Buble & Take That for her 9th Birthday. We've managed to get tickets for both (result) and we're going as a family to see Michael Buble.
Now I need some help...has anyone ever seen Michael perform this live? Only if he does then we(as parents) are going to be a snivelling heap whilst our daughter backs away slowly in embarassment. If I know he'll sing it then I might be a little more prepared!!!!

i grew up singing this song with my dad. while most of the posted lyrics are correct, the real ones are:
you're the end of the rainbow, my pot of gold.
you're daddy's little girl, to have and hold.
a precious gem is what you are,
you're mommy's bright and shining star.
the rest of the lyrics are fine!
