Cue The Sun Lyrics - Daphne Loves Derby

Review The Song (9)

If I find my way through the darkest of days,
Will I laugh about the things that kept me awake?
But if my greatest fears paints itself so crystal clear,
Will I run away or will I hide?

And if I don't come home tonight,
Just know I tried my best to fight.
Please don't think I plan to lose to the night.
And curse the moon so dull and bright,
My heavy soul can't stand the light.
It burns me straight to the bones, my bones

In the desert sun I watched my nerves come undone.
One by one my strings they tangled into knots.
And ever since that day, deep in Santa Fe.
I've learned to hate myself for giving everything away.

And if I don't come home tonight,
Just know I tried my best to fight.
Please don't think I plan to lose to the night.
And curse the moon so dull and bright,
My heavy soul can't stand the light.
It burns me straight to the bones, my bones

And if I don't come home tonight,
Just know I tried my best to fight.
Please don't think I plan to lose to the night.
And curse the moon so dull and bright,
My heavy soul can't stand the light.
It burns me straight to the bones, my bones

alright kidsss | Reviewer: Jenn | 12/19/08

this song and I Will Follow You Into the Dark are hardly even simliar. so just drop it. they sorta have the same beat, but theres a Hawthorne Heights song that sounds exactly like an Escape the Fate song, lets get over it.

the cue the sun/i will follow you into the dark dilema | Reviewer: Anonymous | 10/24/08

Although cue the sun and I will follow you into the dark are rather similiar, cue the sun takes the cake. Cue the sun has a nicer melody, and cuter words... but don't get me wrong, I will follow you into the dark is also a good song; I like both of the bands. I prefer this song over the other. Keep up the good work, Daphne Loves Derby. :)

Heaviness. | Reviewer: triage02 | 5/7/08

There is a certain air of having already lost and having all your soul exposed in past mistakes.

Yet the title is Cue the Sun. So bring in the sun to replace the harsh, cold moon. Let it be dawn. : )

facts: | Reviewer: dean | 8/30/07

i will follow you into the dark came out in 2005, cue the sun in 2007. they arent similar enough to be a dick about it. most people dont even notice the similarities. and the chord changes are different. this one goes G - em - C9 - G - D, and i will follow you into the dark is am - C - F - G - C - am - C - em - am - G - F - fm so basically they just have the same capo soooooo shutup asshole. thank you and good day sir.

incredible. | Reviewer: dalton | 8/17/07

Joseph is an idiot. This song is way better than "I'll follow you into the dark", don't get me wrong its a good song but this is just a whole lot cooler.

too similar... | Reviewer: joseph | 6/24/07

to "i'll follow you into the dark" - death cab for cutie. the chord changes are the same, and the rhythm is very identical.
it's a "cute" song, but should be a bit more diffrent music wise.
daphne loves durby is over doing the style of music that is already around.
