Cthulhu dawn

Spatter the stars
Douse their luminosity
With our amniotic retch
Promulgating the birth
Of another Hell on Earth
Shadows gather poisoned henna for the flesh
A necrotic cattle brand
The hissing downfall pentagram
Carven deep upon the church doors of the damned
But no Passover is planned
A great renewal growls at hand
And only when they're running
Will they come to understand...

So ends the pitiful reign of Man

When the moon exhales
Behind a veil
Of widowhood and clouds
On a Biblical scale
We raise the stakes
To silhouette the impaled
Crowds...

Within this kissed disembowel arena
A broken seal on an ancient curse
Unleashes beasts from the seismic breach
With lightning reach and genocidal thirst
Mountains of archaos theories
In collision as at planetary dawn
Apocalypse's razorbacks
Beat wings on glass as thunder cracks
Unfurled across a world hurled to the black

Cthulhu dawn

Shatter the glass house
Wherein spirits breathe out
Halitosis of the soul
From a recking abscess
Plague of far righteousness
All fates hang in the balance
Mocking crucified dolls
An inquisition ours
When the Sun goes out our powers
Will extend throughout Heaven like Asphodel
As they have for countless lustrum
In dark Midian accustoned
To burning effigies of our enemies well

So begins the sibilant world Death knell...

When a corpse wind howls
And awakes from drowse
The scheming dead freed
Of gossamer shrouds
We gorgonise eyes
Of the storm aroused
Red...

Blinding time
All lines dine on this instance
A melting spool of beggar, negative frames
The skies teem alive, to watch die
Mankind hauled to fable in vast tenement graves...

Cthulhu dawn

Cthulhu dawn

Cthulhu dawn

Review about Cthulhu Dawn

Necronomicon | Reviewer: Ben | 2/20/09

The necronomicon is actually a fictional book which appeared in an HP Lovecraft story and has been 'penned' by several people since. It's not a 'real book', at least not in the sense it was referred to below.

Dani Will Pay The Price 4 Show this high secrets of our Master, this is the end of everything for him , one day the sun will die , and the night will creeps , my master will find him and shows him Whats the Mean of Pure Evil .

Third Opinion to Non-entity | Reviewer: Anonymous | 10/16/08

Cthulu is an evil entity from the Necronomicon a REAL BOOK of very high magick. Dani obviously did his resurch on the beast before pening the song. The Pentical is a symbol of Pagan elements and i cant stand when people that have no idea what they are talking about open their mouths and start talking shit about things they have know understanding about.

A second opinion to non-entity | Reviewer: Entity | 9/2/08

The pentagram has nothing to do with biblical mythology, we know its essentially a pagan symbol, as well as appearing in ancient Europe for various needs (the most common being protection). Furthermore the pentagram sybolizes the four western elements along with the abstract 5th, the top one which can be but is not limited to symbolizing power/spirituality/abilities. So in my opinion the idea of the pentagram's appearance in this song is perfectly logical due to Lovecraft and his circle's dissection of mythological beasts into different elements (Cthulhu being water).
Filth knows his stuff, so don't just think he pulls in random macabre for its aesthetic placement, there is clearly logic involved.

A response to non-entity | Reviewer: entity | 9/2/08

Well, in all honesty we know that the pentagram sybolizes the four western elements along with the abstract 5th, the top one which can be but is not limited to symbolizing power/spirituality/abilities. Lovecraft and his circle delegated these primordial beasts into elemental distinctions, Cthulhu being an agent of water. And don't even start about the pentagram having anything to do with biblical mythology. It is rooted in paganism and as a symbol has been prominent throughout Western Europe for centuries due to its supposed protective qualities.
Anyhow, my point is I think its quite logical for Filth to incorporate the pentagram into this song. He doesn't simply choose images and words for their appeal without logic; such appearances are there for a reason.

Interesting | Reviewer: Krazi Keri | 4/6/08

I like the song. But he sings it so fast i miss all of the verses. Don't get me wrong I love the song. It's great. Dani Filth is a great poet. He would get along well with my english teacher. They both write poetry that is a little bloody and deadly.

non-entity | Reviewer: beholder | 12/5/07

Bullshit. Cthulhu's not a biblical or satanic deity, hence it has nothing to do with a pentagram, usually reckoned as a diabolical symbol. Dani Filth mixes the satanism with the imaginary Lovecraft beasts to maintain his pseudo-infernal image.

Mythos and Macabre | Reviewer: Doom Tide Death Face | 11/1/07

Ahh, there truly is nothing like the pen of Dani Filth whose poetry graces all that which is looked upon in disgust by the pious. Cthulhu being my favorite mytho, well, it only seemed right Dani could express in song the legend of the beast's awakening. By far, their best song... I love it.

Mosh away | Reviewer: bRiE | 6/10/07

I love listening to this song out in public.....it gives me a reason to puch people in the face(accidentially)of course
