Crimson Moonlight Lyrics

Crimson Moonlight was formed in June -97 by Gustav
Elowsson, Petter Stenmarker and Simon Rosén. The band´s
purpose was to create music in the true old school black
metal vein, record a release a demo-tape and then later on
play only one concert before splitting up the band. The
only serious thing about Crimson Moonlight was the lyrics,
dealing with different subjects concerning our Christian
faith.
Almost immediately bassist Alexander Orest joined, and the
line-up was completed. The band thought about a name and

This song rocks, and so does Crimson Moonlight. I stumbled across them on a Christian lyrics website. I thought their name was cool, so I started to read their lyrics...enough said. I got Songs from the Archives for Christmas, and once I got used to the sound, it became one of my favorite Christian metal albums.

"Darkness tries to make me fall because of my sinful flesh/Lord, come with your power, come in holiness/You who made demons flee when they saw your might/You who left your glory in the palaces of light."

I didn't know that Crimson Moonlight was black metal until I went on their website. You can't tell by reading the lyrics.

Christian black metal. The type of music Crimson Moonlight plays is an oxymoron. It's still cool, though.
