Are you f**king retarded? After 400 years of slavery, in which time a mass genocide also occured, God decreed that the jews should be let free. Pharoah said no, so he was warned that a plague would come if he didnt let the jews go, but he didnt and the plague happened. THIS HAPPENED TEN TIMES!! Metallica is heavily Christian, they took it out of the Bible (if you listen to the lyrics, you will see that it's about Moses and his people being slaves)

The band was inspired for the song by the second half of the film The Ten Commandments, which is based upon the Bible tale of the plagues which were bestowed upon the Egyptians. While watching a scene in which one of the plagues kills every Egyptian first-born child, bassist Cliff Burton remarked "Whoa - it's like creeping death." The band liked the sound of "creeping death" and decided to write a song about the plagues, with the phrase as its title.[2]

The Song is awesom. If i had the difficult task to make Top20 Metallica this song will be in. I do not see freedom. I see only hate, suffering and that jewish think that they are chosen. This song's really awsome. This story taken from the Bible, the 2nd book: Exodus. It tells about the story of Exodus from Egypt, and how the God ("Hashem") killed the firstborn of the egypt civilians because Pharaoh did'nt agree to release us from the slavery. I am a jew, so don't argue about it. Sorry for my bad English.

I don't care about your views on religon. It DOES NOT MATTER. Facts are facts and this song was taken from the book of Exodus. If you have tried to read it, you would realize any argument against that fact is rather futile and pretty much retarded.

This song is about a story from the Bible. You can deny and debate all you want, but you just make yourself look like an ignorant, unlearned jackass.

Metallica has SAID that this song is about the exodus of the jews from Egypt. Debate all you want, you are wrong if you deny that THIS SONG CONTENT IS TAKEN DIRECTLY FROM THE BIBLE!

You just make yourself look fucking dumb if you try to deny it. Why bother? The Bible is one of the best books ever written. It was written so well that a religion was based around it. Other than the Koran, I don't know of any other fictitional books that have inspired an entire religion for blind mindless masses to follow it.

I don't care if you want to debate it; there is no rebuttle, there are no counter-points. The artists that created this song have straight up said that this song is about a story in the Bible, and it does not matter, so you should enjoy it all just the same.

I think this is one of their best live performance songs. I was there in Sofia, Bulgaria when they opened with this and it blew me away. and ive been going thru other live performances of creeping death and it just keeps getting better.
