Counterparts And Number Them Lyrics
Artist(Band):Alexisonfire
Jennifer,
They lied to you.
When they said you couldn't breathe underwater.
(So here it is, the end is near)
I lied, too, when I said that I was hard.
(Never would've thought this might be something you'd so easily discard)
I'm soft...
Softer...
(Now I see it all so clear)
Than a...
(So it seems that when you turned away, you...)
Thrift store...
(Left...)
Thrift store...
(A scar)
Thrift store...
Sweater.
Twice as worn in.
Twice as worn in.
I was cast away once,
But I will be found again.
This I promise you.
Promise you.

Review about Counterparts And Number Them
Delish | Reviewer: yello | 1/2/2008This song is so good.THe guitar is phenomenal and the singing and screaming and is awesome. The first time I saw the video for this song, and it was the first song I heard for them, I knew they were gonna be big. The video is hilar too. And I love the part in the song when George says the word sweater, because if you don't know what he was saying before, it just sounds random. Hhehe. I love it!

Deff one of their best songs. "I lied too, when I said that I was hard. I'm softer than a thrift store..... SWEATER. Twice as worn in." I love that part.

Counterparts and Number Them is one of the best songs ever realeased by alexisonfire. Being the second single off their first album, it naturally was a hit. With razor sharp guitar lines, and emotional, passionate vocals, this anthemic song pushes against the barriers of new rock/emo/screamo ending up in an absolutely wicked-awesome song.
