My daddy loved this song, n the name Joni; that he named me after this song! every morning when he wud wake me up for school he wud sing it to me... joni joni please dont cry... n then leave the room, then the next verse, n leave the room... needless to say, i was up by the last verse of the chorus n in a wonderful mood! well this last weekend we had karaoke at the bar i work at and my dad was there so i desided to sing this song... i had never seen my daddy cry in allof my 27 years n those were the biggest tears of joy i'd ever seen in my whole life... it struck a soft spot in both out hearts! i love my daddy so very much... n i thank him for naming me after this song because if he didnt i wudnt have got to ssising it to him n it wudnt have meant n e thing. ill never forget the night my daddy cried when i sang to him "dont cry joni" by conway twitty!
