I'm hypnotized and I can't stop listening, as much as he doesn't want to "come down from this cloud." I think this song is about obsessive love, or one's strong feeling for someone who doesn't show the same passion. It's obsessive love because one finds solace in someone else, who gets them in a sense of high. You don't want to stop getting that feeling. And it's uncontrollable as you can listen to the steady beat through out the entire song, and occasionally hear the shrieking of the guitars, or some sort of dysfunction. Like love, it grows and can get intense. You get addicted to your love you can't enough of, even if it's a downfall or unhealthy. Simply strong emotions of love, or lack of love either way loves a drug like ecstasy. You keep coming back. Beautiful, and complex song.
