Clint Black Lyrics

Yes, the melodies are memorable. For if you love country
music, they're virtually a soundtrack of the '90s. And when
delivered by the unmistakable voice of Clint Black, they
can, indeed change your "State of Mind."

In the bleakest part of the winter of 1989, there was
something fresh on the radio airwaves, a song called "A
Better Man" that looked at a failed relationship through
optimistic eyes. That summer, "Killin' Time" was a darker
vision, a lyric loaded with metaphor and levels of meaning
that took you to the scary edge of More...

Reviews about Clint Black songs

Delightful Christmas song | Reviewer: Anne H
------ About the song Birth of the King performed by Clint Black

This song is one which should become a yearly classic. It is not only a beautiful song in its own right, it is well performed on Clint Black's album! There simply isn't anything not to like about it!

Masters of War | Reviewer: jazzpreacher
------ About the song Iraq And Roll performed by Clint Black

Dylan said it in his Masters of War. Mr Black says/sings it in his own way (admittedly not perfectly, but still): War is wrong, war under wrong premises is even worse.

Opposing an unjust war is not unpatriotic it is a human right.
Opposing White house policy is not un-American, it is looking at the world from a wider perspective.

Iraq and Afghanistan have already drained the US of billions of dollars and good men and women. No more!

Puting the same resources into peace-building and diplomacy would be a first step. And don's say it would not work. Because it has not been tried yet.

Prayers and Respect | Reviewer: forHim91
------ About the song Iraq And Roll performed by Clint Black

To all you men and women active at anytime in any branch of the service, I THANK YOU! I've known a few good people that have had to leave their families to go to war and they have all come home when so many haven't. I pray for those that are there and those that know their going and those that end the day not knowing. I'm praying for you! Thank you for giving so much for the one thing that will never be free. When I go to Walmart or McDonalds late at night and I choose which job to take and what to wear and the church I pray in I remember our wonderful American soldiers that have given us the ability to make our own choices. America and all her fine soldiers, I stand and I salute you! Thank you and God bless America!

One of the worst songs ever "written" | Reviewer: Anonymous
------ About the song Iraq And Roll performed by Clint Black

Putting aside the fact that Clint Black's opinion about people who oppose the Iraq war is un-American and idiotic, the lyrics to this song read like they were written by a mentally challenged third-grader. It's like he wrote a bunch of tired cliches on slips of paper, shook them up in a bag, and drew them out one at a time to come up with the lyrics for this song.

But yeah, this song is horrible. And the Iraq War had nothing to do with our freedom because Iraq was never even a remote threat to our freedom. And if Clint Black is a "hi-tech GI Joe" who "pray[s] for peace [and] prepare[s] for war," sounds like he's perfectly suited to head up to his local recruitment office and put his money where his mouth is. We can send him over there to get shot at, since he loves the war so much, and we can bring home one of our guys who would rather be at home with his family and get him the PTSD treatment that he probably needs by now.

Make a Buck Off Bloodshed | Reviewer: Justin
------ About the song Iraq And Roll performed by Clint Black

It seems that that nobody profits more from war than those that that have never have even considered fighting. From a president with a behind the lines desk job during the Viet Nam war and an AWOL record as well, to a couple of third grade reading level lyricists with red, white and blue on the brain. "Iraq and I Roll". Are you serious? That has got to be one of the stupidist things ever written in American music. The "Thong Song" is more intelligent. I am completely embarassed as an American citizen to be associated to these idiots as countrymen. Good job guys, this is complete crap. Do a little research, it ain't lead anymore, it's depleted uranium, and that my friends, is nuclear warfare. Hope these morons bought a sweet new pick up truck with the profits from this blind patriotic drivel, because I'm sure they figure it would be unamerican to help the innocent civilans of a war torn country if they don't belive in Jesus.

What I think | Reviewer: Anonymous
------ About the song Iraq And Roll performed by Clint Black

This song isn't perfect, they can be no more than cowards?? it's a type of warfare, I'm back and I'm a hi-tech GI Joe, there is a few right and wrongs with this... It is the second gulf war so I'm back makes sense, Hi-tech? yes, air strikes, ground support aircraft, tomahawk cruise missiles, but war doesn't go by the book, and a bullet is just as good as the latest weapons systems, they both kill.
