Clap for the Wolfman, he gon' rate your record high,
Clap for the Wolfman, you gon' dig him till the day you die.
"Da Doo Ron Ron" and the "Duke of Earl" they were friends of mine
I was on my moonlight drive
Snuggled in, said "Baby just one kiss ..." she said "No, no, no
Romance ain't keepin' me alive!"
Said "Hey babe, you wanna coo, coo, coo?" she said "Ah, ah, ah"
So I was left out in the cold
I said "You're what I been dreamin' of"
She said "I don't want to know!"
Clap for the Wolfman, he gon' rate your record high,
Clap for the Wolfman, you gon' dig him till the day you die.
75 or 80 miles and hour she hollered "Slow, slow, slow ..."
Baby, I can stop right on a dime.
Said "Hey baby, gimme just one kiss ..." she said "No, no, no ..."
But how was I to bide my time?
Said "Hey babe, you wanna coo, coo, coo?" she said "Ah, ah, ah ..."
Said "I'm about to overload"
I said "You're what I been living for"
She said "I don't want to know!"

Review about Clap for the Wolfman Clap For The Guess Who | Reviewer: Nate Rogers | 9/16/2007
This song is,in my opinion, the quintessence of Guess Who sound. It's fun, it's imaginative, the lyrics are killer and the bits with The Wolfman are the coup de gras, especially:
"Everybody's talking 'bout The Wolfman's pompatous of love"
and
"Heh, you thought she was diggin' you but she was DIGGING ME!! HAhaha!"
The song , performed by The Guess Who , was a popular song of the 70s era ; and basically , it was written about and for the late D.J. himself - Wolfman Jack . On record album ( even on the radio ) while the band sang the song ; Wolfman Jack added his own lines to it , to make it sound more D.J.-like . You can still hear his exact words on the Guess Who CD .
