(We're rolling suicide)

Wake up, (Wake up)
Grab a brush and put on a little makeup,
Hide the scars to fade away the shakeup,
Why'd you leave the keys upon the table,
Here you go create another fable,

(You wanted to)
Grab a brush and put on a little make-up,
(You wanted to)
Hide the scars to fade away the shake-up,
(You wanted to)
Why'd you leave the keys upon the table,
(You wanted to)

I don't think you trust,
In my self-righteous suicide,
I cry when angels deserve to DIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

RRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Wake up, (Wake up)
Grab a brush and put on a little makeup,
Hide the scars to fade away the shakeup,
Why'd you leave the keys upon the table,
Here you go create another fable,

(You wanted to)
Grab a brush and put on a little make-up,
(You wanted to)
Hide the scars to fade away the shake-up,
(You wanted to)
Why'd you leave the keys upon the table,
(You wanted to)

I don't think you trust,
In my self-righteous suicide,
I cry when angels deserve to die,
In my self-righteous suicide,
I cry when angels deserve to die.

Father
(FAther)
Father
(Father)
Father
(Father)
Father
(Ahh!)

Father into your hands,
I commend my spirit,
Father into your hands,
Why have you forsaken me,
In your eyes forsaken me,
In your thoughts forsaken me,
In your heart forsaken, me oh,
Trust in my self-righteous suicide,
I cry when angels deserve to die,
In my self-righteous suicide,
Why cry when angels deserve to die.

Its in the Eye of the Maker | Reviewer: Anonymous | 11/4/09

Its pointless to speculate on why the song was made or what the song is about cuz we didnt write it. we have no idea what they were thinking when they wrote this. regardless, we can all agree that this song is irrefutably fuckin' awesome.

Personally, I think the chorus of the song, "why did you leave the keys on the table" is about A couple, husband and wife. I think he husband beats his wife, so he tells her to cover the bruises with make up. The line after this also supports my theory. Then the rest of the song is about the wife trying to talk to her dad, but he won't help her. So she is thinking about suicide.

they are from armenia.the people there did suffer a catastrophy ,or atempt at genocide.the song chop suey is about both the evil and the victims of the ordeal.self ritious suicide is up for you to decide what it means, thats the point.its allagorical.

yo, chill on the interpritations!! | Reviewer: Anonymous | 3/20/09

you see, it's nice to know meanings of songs, but personaly i just listen to teh song and enjoy it. that's what music is about. yeah some times i do want to know the meaning, but i doesn't really bother me. the meaning of a song is different for everyone, and so it's different each time.
ps.
this song is brilliant, and that it's great without any meaning.

Most of S.O.A.D's songs, are based off religion, sights, and the actions upon the war in Iraq.

BYOB - They are talking about Why the president sent all of our American Soldiers to the way, and the war in Iraq (Dancing in the desert, blowin' up the sunshine.)

Chop Suey- Self Explanitory in the lyrics.

Aerials - People and their actions, People only have greed for themselfs, and "freeing their mind" is death, and "Free of eternal cries" Also death

Revenga - Not really about war, but his girl leaving him, for another person. And him, plotting to kill the one who stole his love.

Solder Side (intro) - Being in the war, and having most of your close freinds, or even a brother or father die, and being alone.

"I think this song aint about actual suicide either but rather just the idea of commiting it as an abolute last resort."

a self-righteous suicide is one that is done to protect or benefit someone else. he's not saying that he's having suicidal thoughts

this song is about the Armenians who died in the genocide. Its his reflection on what and how he saw those people suffer... he asks God why he has been forsaken because of this horrible experience he went through ... but yes he does reference the bible but to use as his reflection of how in felt in that moment . and due to this horrible sight he wishes upon his own death.

its about jesus | Reviewer: Kini | 10/27/08

i dont think u trust in my self- righteous suicde.. jesus died for our sins but in a way it is kind of seen as a suicde because he willingly let himself get killed for our sins being why its a self-righteous suicide. He says i dont think u trust because many ppl did not believe him as the son of God and did believe that he can wash away our sins. Father why have you forsaken me is what Jesus said to God as he was crucified on the cross.

"the song Chop Suey! is about jesus dying on the cross if you noticed, "Father in to your hands i commend my spirit" "Why have you forsaken me?" were two of the things Jesus said as he was tied to the crusifix"

yup yep spot on! and "Why'd you leave the keys upon the table", that happend when The God forgot his car keys inside his house and couldnt get to his car and drive to save his son.

I think this song aint about actual suicide either but rather just the idea of commiting it as an abolute last resort.

The first verse would support that idea, "Grab a brush and put on a little makeup" and so on, pointing out the person has fucked up his life but pretends everything is okay.

Point of view | Reviewer: Jack | 8/28/08

The song has no one meaning, the meaning depends on the context of the reader. If you think it's about something and you can back it up with evidence from the text then there's no reason for anyone to say that your take on the song is wrong.
